Take Action!
See what school policies are for LGBTQ+ students, and try to improve protections (make sure the school upholds Title IX for LGBTQ+ students)
Call your senators to encourage them to pass the Equality Act (to add sexual orientation/gender identity to existing civil/ human rights laws & and expand protections for existing protected classes)
Start a GSA/LGBTQ+ Alliance at your school
Stand up for your LGBTQ+ friends (don’t put yourself in danger, though)
Stay aware of issues facing the LGBTQ+ community, and help fight them (maybe try to let LGBTQ+ peoples take the lead, though)
