Whether it is using a hashtag, posting a picture of yourself wearing jeans or doing a quiz about rare disease facts, there are so many fun, easy ways for you to use social media to engage your community and raise awareness in a fun way!
Raffles are a GREAT way to get people engaged in your activities, and can really be the outcome of any activity. You can have every photo of your denim wardrobe act as an entry, have anyone who plays the Kahoot we prepared be automatically entered, or have people donate to enter. The possibilities are endless so we are leaving it to you to find the best way to excite your peers!
Does your school have a specific activity or event that people like? Sleep in? Pizza lunch? Casual day? Those sound like pretty sweet prizes!
Try and organize an assembly that is dedicated to rare disease awareness! You can use the speech we have created, write your own, do a challenge, have conversations and create an amazingly informative event! Having guests and speakers participate, even if it is just virtually, is also a great idea.
You know those jean ribbons we were talking about? Why don't you get a bunch of people together and make them over a call!!! They are super easy and allow people to be creative while still supporting the RD community!
Who doesn't love a friendly competition? Have one person host the Kahoot/quiz and have others join a call so that you can compete and learn a bit more about rare diseases!
Organize an activity, and instead of a straight up raffle, whichever grade is most engaged gets a prize!
