why tattoo?
I tattoo because its one of the more recent things i had a childlike sense of “what the fuck is this and how do i do it.” Im 20 so definitely not far from being a child but still. Getting to draw on people and make them and myself happy is the coolest shit ever

do you think you will be tattooing the rest of your life? if so do you think ur style will change?
i plan to tattoo for long as i can, and start painting when i can be more sustainable with tattooing. i don’t believe my style will “change” because the style i choose will always be me.

Do you think diy/instagram tattooing will die out as we all grow older?
No, opposition. Well… depends, the fun of it might die because of the rise of AI. might kill the genuineness and authenticity of it on a large scale. diy will probably be more popular than a traditional walk in shop.
Best dum dum lollipop flavor?
Always strawberry. At the diner I go to they give out lollipops, I always take the strawberry. Sometimes when I’m waiting on my food I’ll even take the lollipop and dip it in the strawberry jam lol.
1 interesting fact about yourself.
My identity: Quantum Physicist, Muslim, tiny woman, tattoo artist. It’s always shocking to my clients when I tell them.
1 interesting fact you know that you think others don't know.
A lot of people glaze quantum computers. They look crazy, fancy and high tech but everyone is glazing just the outside fridge part. The actual computer is extremely small and not what gives it its looks.

why tattoo?
I tattoo mainly for connection. As someone who grew up pretty lonely and lacking platonic intimate relationships during the early years of my adulthood i’ve always found it so beautiful being able to connect to people and share an intimate, bonding and sacred experience for both parties involved. Reason number two is probably just the fact that since i began getting tattoos i’ve always felt slightly more like myself each time. That feeling still has never disappeared from my life 5 years later. Every time i get a tattoo it’s a boost to my morale and now being a tattoo artist i hope i am the one subjecting the same feeling onto the people i tattoo. Also a big bonus is tattooing makes it easier to receive tattoos and helps save money at the end of the day.
handpoke? why? forever?
I choose to handpoke as long as i physically can. I’ve always found something special about things being created by hand. The duality of making tattoos that look sort of imperfect intentionally reveals the humanity in the process of handpoking, purposely displaying the fact that hey this was made without a machine and by a human’s hands. Although on the flip side the amount of skill and precision to create something that looks “perfect” or “clean” with your bare hands and no use of any machinery is always incredibly impressive to me, when the work is so high quality people can’t even tell that it was handpoked without telling them.
since bladee is ur favorite, if you could only listen to one of their songs for the rest of ur life what would it be? why?
Probably skin. I’ve always been in love with the sound and tone of the song. The lyrics are kind of positive? Despite the tone of the song sounding like a sad song, it starts off with “i don’t want to go back to that place again,” which depending on your own personal circumstances this can apply to so many things. I think i’ve always connected it to relationships and bad relationships that are either gone out of my life or ones that have evolved and are no longer toxic to my life, this is probably the intended reaction to have to the song? and probably some subtle reminiscing about past relationships. These days i connect it more to the fact that i feel i’ve finally got on the path that i want to take and just the growth i’ve been able to experience, and now i’m at a point where i can’t even begin to fathom where i was even just a few years ago, and like he says, i don’t want to go back to that place again.
if i gave u $1000 rn what would you buy?
If i got a thousand dollars id probably pay off my speeding ticket and give the rest to my mom. I don’t feel good spending money i didn’t earn on my own and despite not being the most financially stable i’d rather use free extra money to show appreciation to my parents, a little more specifically my mom.
