My Own Music

You probably don't know this about me, but I actually make music myself! I know! My music is inspired by pretty much every band/CD listed on this website. Whether it's the Pop Punk of older Fall Out Boy or older blink-182, the electronic elements of newer Coldplay or newer Bring Me The Horizon, or whatever. In this section, I'm gonna highlight all of my albums, both on Streaming Services, and not on Streaming Services. I'll also be highlighting which era of my music the album belongs to. Let's go!

The Beginning

What Life Really Means

(October 30th, 2019)

After writing a few songs about the YouTube animator, Ava G and wishing I could form a band to play these songs, I stumbled across a website I haven't used for a while then. A little place called Soundtrap. After making a really bad rap song, I tried my hand at making and singing the songs I had written. That was the basis for this album. A kid with a dream, and his dream became a reality. That's my debut album in a nutshell, and although I would improve a lot way later down the line, my debut album is still a solid example of what I can do with motivation, time, and people behind me encouraging me forward.
The album is a little bit rough around the edges, with autotune errors, inconsistent singing, poor mixes, and pretty standard lyrics, however it's charming for what it is. The debut album from a 14-Year-Old. I want this to be a point of encouragement to anybody who feels like they can't do anything. Try to make an album. I tried to do so and, well, look where I am now.
The album is extremely genre diverse, going from rock to synth pop in almost an instant. The albums layout is inspired by Panic! At The Disco's album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, with interludes and an intro track.
This album also has a deluxe edition, however both versions of the album are merged together as one album on Streaming Services, so don't worry.
If you want recommended tracks, I give you "She's The Lucky One," "Alaskan," "And So," "Brand New Millennium," "Can't They See How Influential You Are?," and "My Best Friend (ft. Kittydog)."

The Struggle for Style

2005

(February 6th, 2020)

A need to follow up my debut album was apparent, and even though I tried my hardest, I personally believe I failed. This album was delayed heavily, even unfinished in certain places, and suffered massive motivational issues. However, that doesn't mean I think the entire album is bad. There's decent songs here like "You Are The Most Important Thing In The World To Me, Except For This Other Thing I Gotta Do Now," the title track, "2005," "Tired as Hell," and "Wasteland."
This album shows a stylistic change as well. This record usually stays under the genre of rock, but also marks the beginning of the Midi style that I would attempt to master throughout the next few albums, many of those times I fail, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
The album has a dreamy feel to it, reminiscing about the past and such, but its execution doesn't really put that point across. More autotune errors, still poorly mixed, all that. This should have not been the follow up to What Life Really Means.

I... I don't know how to explain myself for this one. This is one of my worst albums ever, probably my second worst album of all time. Terrible lyrics involving death threats, absolutely terrible mixing and vocal work, a lot of instrumentation rips off other artists, prime example being Fall Out Boy, this album is a complete mess. There's no redeeming it. The only reason it was made is because I was an angry little 14-Year-Old who wanted Satan Eyes dead. Looking back at the record, it was a complete misstep. Everyone I know detests this thing, and I do too.
At least this album does one thing, it marks the Midi style I would use from here on now, that guitar has been the same for a year now. It's a shame I used it completely incorrectly on this album. Honestly, I don't know if I can recommend a song on this album, other than "Wrong Reasons" or "I Sold My Soul To You In Exchange For Happiness. All I Got Were Those Hellbound Panels." This album was the first major misstep in my entire discography.
Recommend? Absolutely Not

Flower of Forgiveness

(April 24th, 2020)

Here's the story behind this one. I was on the graphic design website, Canva, and I saw this exact picture of a flower, and I thought it was so cool. I named it the "Flower of Forgiveness." Soon enough, I was planning the album. It's supposed to be a rock opera about a 10-Year-Old who's entire family was cursed with a spell of death. It made everyone in the kids family die in some way, except the kid himself. You see, when the curse was cast, he was holding a rose that protected him from the curse. The album centers around the kid watching everyone around him die and trying to go get help.
The problem with this record is that its... not fleshed out at all, and some of the songs here are forgettable, and that's not what you want in a rock opera. Because of this, the record suffers. I did not spend enough time on this album. Many of the records instrumentals and vocals are just not right and again, the lyrics are not fleshed out at all. They have no flow, no purpose. It doesn't help that this record was put in development hell because I was making The Satan Eyes EP as well.
Now, again, that doesn't mean the entire record is bad. "Sudden Despair" is alright, "All I Have Left" has this vinyl piano, and "Bring Me In" shows my development as a singer, with some pretty high notes I'd say. Other than that, Flower of Forgiveness is a great big mess of a record.

The Hopeful Few

Facing What's Ahead

(June 2nd, 2020)

Oh my god, get ready for a T U R N I N G P O I N T ! Facing What's Ahead is considered by some to be a pretty good pop punk record. It still uses the style of music marked by You just 4 months before, but it's a bit more refined and such. The album revolves around the future, a theme I would commonly come back to in my own future in music. The whole album isn't just pop punk though, there are electronic influences and such within.
I'd still say this album suffers from poor mixes and poor vocals, but the writing is a tad bit better. Way better than the, "Lyrics" on my third album. We ruin a show in "Showstopper," give life advice on "More or Less," check up on the teenage era with "Teenager Anthem," reject love on "No More Romance, I Like It That Way," go to a party with "Rooftop Houseparty," question life with "Escape this Nightmare," and even hang out with the homeless with "The Man In The Trees Behind The Buildings."
While not being my greatest record ever, this is definitely a turning point in my career. In fact, this album still holds a ripple throughout my discography to this day, but we'll get to that later.
Recommend? Yes

Blurain (Self Titled Record)

(July 2nd, 2020)

What an interesting beast. This is my self titled album, and it's really... really pop punk. I was inspired massively by the great band Blink-182, and direct ripoffs from their music says enough on that part. Again, while not being my best album ever, it's not the worst. Sure, some mixes and vocals are questionable, but Facing What's Ahead suffered the same woes. At least it's not my third album.
We have some songs about moving towns, my brothers deceased dog, chapters of life, school, and philosophy. We even see the return of Ava G based songs with "I Have A Purpose."
Even though all that is great and cool and all, I'd say cherrypick your songs for this album. This isn't really full album listen worthy. Definitely some skippables present.
Recommend? Sure

The Dark Ages

The Last Tear We Will Ever Shed

(October 14th, 2020)

...An 18 minute album... extremely bland and basic lyrics... bad mixes... "rapping"... Yeah I... I don't know how to explain myself. This is my worst album. It's not even an album, it's an EP. I don't know what caused me to make this or even consider it was done when it really wasn't. This is not a good album. The only decent song on this is the title track. Everything else is either a ripoff or just flat out terrible. The only new thing sound-wise on this album is a new drum kit I would use for my next album, and my next album is different, don't worry, I don't go on another bad album spree, I just... can't defend this album at all, and I made this. How could I? I shouldn't make music anymore, my career is over. My worst album...
Recommend? Absolutely Not

The Renaissance

The Last Tear We Will Ever Shed

(February 3rd, 2021)

...My career... it's still here? ...How? I thought all my credibility was lost with Last Tear. There's still a beacon of hope? Yes there is Blurain in the past, because you created Legacies.
Regarded as much more mature and enjoyable than past records, Legacies is a true Renaissance in my career. More mature songwriting and introspective thoughts lie throughout this record. I was also really, really close to mastering the Midi sound, but the mixes here are still pretty rough, although maybe that doesn't matter too much, I'm not sure.
A song about empowerment on "Bright Lights," a song about determination with "With This I Shall," and I change my views on the people like Satan Eyes on "An Interplay," telling them that I no longer want them dead, I just want them to change.
The entire album concept is about leaving a legacy for future generations, which is directly explained in the title track. This time, Legacies is completely comprised of original content. No riffs are stolen and lyrics only reference other songs, like "The world's not a vampire" and "Who wouldn't want to be the scientist?" on the title track.
Legacies is the turning point. Legacies proved that I can make a coherent album, even after the many mishaps with the past albums. I'm finding my sound. At least, I was, until the next album dropped.
Recommend? Yes

The Golden Age

What Life Really Means 2

(April 21st, 2021)

I made jokes about this album. I made a meme video all like "Ok, WLRM2, who wants it?" But in secret, I was actually planning a sequel to my debut album. It was also the perfect time for Soundtrap to drop two essential soundpacks for my sound. They released the Laces pack, and the Explorer pack. These packs gave me access to the amazing sounds of Pop Punk and Metal. When I heard those packs, I knew I had to make a sequel to my debut album. 8 albums after, and here we are at What Life Really Means 2.
I poured the skill I had into that album. Using the drum kit that I would use even up to this day, the Laces Wet kit. I think I truly did create something special. Something that's worthy of being the sequel to my debut album. While not all of my vocals are mixed well or great, I still think this is a pretty good album.
The songs are pretty much all about Ava G again, however I branch out a little bit more, even experimenting with song parts, being that the final three songs on the album form a trilogy, the Love? Trilogy, telling the possible-canon story of how the Ava G characters Roxo and Silvie fell in love.
The album also brings back my electronic side, even if Legacies already did that with "Midnight Woes" and "How Low Can You Go?". WLRM2 Builds upon that. We have the 80's synth inspired intro track, "The End Of Time Is Near, Why Not Live Your Life To The Fullest?" which is a song title given to me by my brother, and "Truly the Best" features a great friend of mine, HeckinHector.
The album itself has its roots traced back to other bands, such as the Love? Trilogy being heavily inspired by the band Angels & Airwaves, and the song "Broken Young" being inspired by early Bring Me The Horizon.
This album is the beginning of my Golden Age in my career. That age is also still going by the way, we're still living in it.

I Am Not Myself

(June 7th, 2021)

This album man. This... this album. First of all, this is a loose concept album, where the album is played on a vinyl record. That aspect was inspired by the Queens of the Stone Age album, Songs For The Deaf. Secondly, this album was created during a time where I thought I couldn't sing anymore, so this album was supposed to be performed as spoken word, similar to the band La Dispute. However, when I tried to do it as spoken word, it just didn't feel right at all. So I tried to sing again, and it all worked out.
This album used to have a longer tracklist, however because some songs weren't working out the way I wanted them, I scrapped many of them. I feel like the album is better without those songs anyway.
The album is a question about identity. You can see that in the album cover. It's me looking into an infinite mirror, staring at infinite copies of myself and wondering if they're actually me. That picture was actually taken in my own bathroom, and it was the second picture I took there.
Around this time, I had discovered the furry game, Changed. At first I didn't like it because I didn't understand it correctly. Now I do, and I'm a devoted fan, however back then the song "Changed" on this album was a joke. It started as a short hidden track, then turned into a rock song as a hidden track, but I could never get good vocals on it... until I got good vocals on it. I soon realized my passion for the game and made the song a standard tracklist track.
Of course, there are other songs on this album. "Dead Future" is about people destroying their potential futures with the decisions they make. "The Art Of Believing In Yourself" is meant as a sincere reminder to a friend that I will forever be their friend. "Summer Arise" narrates a summer from 2003. "A Short Song About A Man Who Chose The Wrong Path (He Does Look Nice Though)" is based off a real person and is the only carryover from when this album was supposed to be spoken word. "I Never Learned How To Walk Away" is a sad song about leaving a friend behind. That song reflects something that happened in my own life, but since then it's been resolved completely.
This album is definitely one of my best ever, and I actually thought it wasn't going to be like that at all, I personally thought it was rushed, but all my friends were like "Yea this is your best album lmfao." I still cannot believe that to this day.

Recommend? Absolutely

The Power Of Creation

(October 8th, 2021)

Fun fact. This album was supposed to be a double album. However, when I got half of the songs done, I caught COVID-19, and my voice and energy was destroyed. So I made the difficult decision of releasing the album as it was. 12 songs and everything. The result is a much darker album than I Am Not Myself, however it loses it's intended purpose without the other half of the album.
This is The Power Of Creation, an album dedicated around art. It's my personal belief that everyone who can do drawn art well has the power of creation flowing through their veins. I wanted to capture that in album form, so I wrote this album. What came out was an album with songs about wanting to preserve friendships, negative stabs at the sex industry, and the desire to return home.
There's also a song about acceptance here. "Acceptance Avenue" is a metaphorical place where everyone who lives there will accept you. If you walk down Acceptance Avenue, you will be greeted with love, respect, and happiness. No matter who you are.
This album received a bit of a divide between my friends. Some thought it was my best album, others thought it was below even Facing What's Ahead. Me though, I'm pretty proud of it. I like it a lot. I do recommend it, however you might not find it as good as I Am Not Myself or even... my next album...

What Matters Most

(January 10th, 2022)

...I don't know how to describe this album. This silence is not negative at all. This album is... wow. Ok, I need to start somewhere. This album originated from another album I wanted to make, called your favorite outcast. When that went nowhere, I moved some of the songs and song concepts on your favorite outcast to a new album planning document. This one I named What Matters Most, and this one was the one I created.
First of all, this album is extremely stylistically different from my previous albums. The last few albums were mainly rock with some electronic/synth based songs sprinkled here and there. With What Matters Most, it's mainly electronic/synth based with rock songs sprinkled here and there.
This is my most personal album to date. I took inspiration from my own compassion towards loved ones with "Promises," the fear of moving with "The Great Adventure (To Hell)," a real person on "Used to Be," I can keep going, I swear.
One of my goals for this album was to make it good enough that it would get a 4/5 on one of my friends' album ranking scale. When they listened to it, they gave an extremely detailed track-by-track review of the album, and scored it a 4/5.
I can't describe this album well as of now, go listen to it and see for yourself the words I say to you right now.
