CD Collection

About My CD Collection

The purpose of this section is to highlight and describe all of the physical CDs (Compact Discs) I have in my collection. I currently have around 80+ different CDs in my collection, not including CDs I use for parts, or it's "shell". I have various methods of collecting these CDs. The most common is buying them used on Amazon, however I also go to record stores, thrift stores, or I receive them as gifts from friends and family.

In the drop down menu for the CD Collection at the very top of the page, you can find three other pages. Pictures for photos of every CD I have laid out, pictures of my one and only vinyl record, and how I display my CDs. You can also find "The Why? Section," which explains why I like the music I like and also why I collect CDs of all things. Finally, you can find a journal, a thing I rarely update because I'm not really sure. It took me like a year and a half to update that thing again, so don't expect much from it.

If the name of the album and the band/artist that made it is in Bold and Italics, that means it is a prized possession of mine, and reasoning for so will be below the album cover.

If a song in the Full Album Rank of these albums have a Line under it, that means the song is not in my playlist.

Hiding in the shelves of the Goodwill, and discovered by me on my 17th birthday, I picked up this album. I have heard the record a long while before, but never really came back to it. However, when I picked it up and gave it a home once again, I had the incentive to relisten to it. I can say for sure now that I absolutely love this record. Definitely my favorite, beating out DECEMBERUNDERGROUND. Oh, the wonders of the Goodwill!

DECEMBERUNDERGROUND - AFI

I absolutely love the dark undertones that AFI's seventh studio album provides. DECEMBERUNDERGROUND was released in 2006 and it's a really great record. I listened to the entire album after falling in love with the song Miss Murder, and it was a great choice. This album is really, really good. From great songs such as Love Like Winter, the aforementioned Miss Murder, Endlessly She Said, and even Prelude 12/21. This is a great record, and I recommend it.

Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morissette

Another great impulse buy. I found it at a Value Village and I remembered one of my friends talking about this record. I had forgotten the score they gave to it so out of sheer curiosity I decided to give it a home. I then listened to the album after sampling some of the songs and wow. What a very interesting album. I love it. Alanis' voice caught me off guard when I heard the first song, but those guitars reeled me in and I couldn't be more on board. A worthy candidate for my first CD from 1995.

Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness - Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness

Thank you Ava G for introducing me to Cecilia and the Satellite, which in turn got me into this album. If you don't know who Ava G is, look her up on YouTube, she's the woman that changed my life back in 2016 and introduced me to so much amazing music. This right here being one of the best discoveries I've made. Andrew McMahon started out doing rock, possibly punk rock, pop punk, emo, I'm not really sure. Then, in 2013 he started doing all this piano rock stuff. I haven't heard any other record by his, I've only heard his debut in full. If you noticed, I've actually had this album in the "Albums I Need" section of this page for a while now, basically a year. I only now just have it. I almost fell out of this album many-a times. Thank someone I didn't. This is a great album. I highly recommend!

We Don't Need To Whisper - Angels & Airwaves

If you want beauty, look no further than the Debut studio album by Angels & Airwaves, We Don't Need To Whisper. Bought alongside International Superhits and The Weezer Blue Album, We Don't Need To Whisper saw former blink-182 frontman, Tom Delonge, form a brand new band in 2005. This band would go on to use rock elements and electronic elements to create an absolute masterpiece. A true beacon of beauty in this world, and unfortunately, it's very rare to see people have this CD let alone talk about the album online. Hell, Angels & Airwaves is one of my favorite bands. Surely bangers like this should get at least some recognition right? Well they already do kind of.

I-Empire - Angels & Airwaves

After a failed purchase attempt the first go around, on my birthday, a good friend of mine gave me a simple $10 Amazon Card. What followed next was I-Empire in the mail. I adore this album, I just love Angels & Airwaves, and I-Empire is a worthy follow up to the incredible We Don't Need To Whisper. It's two 6 minutes, 2 interlude tracks, and great songwriting and instrumentation give it it's edge. Although I'll always be a Whisper fanboy, I'm still a sucker for I-Empre.

Love: Parts 1 & 2 - Angels & Airwaves

Even though Coldplay's Everyday Life was technically my first double album, I still point to this as my first double album. Being recorded while Neighborhoods was being recorded, Love: Parts 1 & 2 manage to take everything amazing about Angels & Airwaves, and build upon it. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard in a good while. Along with the album also serving as the soundtrack for the movie of the same name, this album, on first listen, literally made me feel like I was in a movie. Music can do that to you. This is the first CD on the "Brothers Money Trio."

I ordered this, and the first copy came by and it had no CD in it. It had the Digipak and the Booklet. It didn't have the thing that played the music. I demanded a replacement and that replacement came 8 days later. Salt aside, I fucking love this album. Another incredible debut from another incredible band. Songs about going to clubs and picking up women and shit. Never knew Arctic Monkeys could make that topic sound great when sung. Do check this out, bangers all the way through pretty much!

Thank a YouTube short of a guy playing Brianstorm to someone on Omegle for this one. I heard the guy play it and it was so unique and catchy to my ear, I had to hear the whole song, and it did not disappoint at all. A while after, I played through the entire album and now here we are, with the CD in my collection.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino - Arctic Monkeys

When this thing dropped, it polarized the Arctic Monkeys community. They waited 5 years for another album from them, and they got a piano based lounge record. I remember when I first listened to the record, I got about four songs in and just quit, citing it to be too boring. However, after doing some research about the concept of the album and the story it's trying to tell, I applied that concept and a few of my own little spins here and there to the story of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino on my second listen. I came out of that listen knowing that this was an absolutely fantastic record. I don't know how you can go from AM's style to this album's style in only 5 years. I love the concept, I love the instrumentations. The lyrics get witty but they intend to tell a story. I love this album, I highly recommend it.

Enema Of The State is one of my favorite blink-182 records. With some great tracks such as Dumpweed, Aliens Exist, All The Small Things, Mutt, and Anthem. I love this album, and thank you good friend of mine for introducing me to the band (You know who you are J :D). Also, if you plan to get into blink-182 and get to Enema Of The State, don't let the title of the album drive you away, give it a chance, I bet you'll really enjoy it!

Take Off Your Pants And Jacket - blink-182

My mother hates the title of this album. Take Off Your Pants And Jacket by blink-182 is consider by many to be the best blink album. Released in 2001, it contains some really good stuff. I love how simple the album art is and the sound is like a more polished version of Enema of the State. It's really good, and I can recommend it to many. It's just that good. Also, with the same advice I gave for Enema Of The State, don't let the title of the album bring you down, it's the music that really counts.

Untitled - blink-182

It wasn't until very, very recently where I finally gave the untitled blink record a full album spin. I went from only having 9-10 songs off this record on my playlist to the album being my absolute favorite from the band. This album spoke personal stories to me even more than Neighborhoods did. I was blown away with the full listen. I was encapsulated by it. Plus, this album holds the only blink-182 song(s) that can actually make me tear up. I've had the untitled record in my wantlist for the longest time, and I finally found opportunity to get it. Fantastic album, highly recommend.

This is my second favorite blink-182 album. It's such a whirlwind of beauty, darkness, maturity, and god damnit does it slap! Full of some really good stuff and heavily influenced by my 5th Favorite Band, Angels & Airwaves. I highly recommend this album, it's very mature for a band like blink-182, so if that's what you always wanted, here you go.

...It's signed. There was a bag under the Christmas tree from a family member, and when I opened it, I saw a blink-182 album I've never heard in full before, but even more... It's a signed copy. The person who gifted this to me had to go through an Ebay battle to get this for me. This is probably my most prized possession, and it's not in my plastic CD shelf, it rests on the plastic stand that person also included in that bag in front of the CD shelf. Thank you. Anyway, Matt Skiba is amazing, stop hating on him, overproduced but still good.

What can go wrong with a classic breakup album? Upon hearing this one I loved it immediately. This album may just sound like every other pop punk/emo band singing about girls, because it is, but Jesse Lacey's lyricism connected with me incredibly well. The only reason I bought the deluxe edition is because I prefer it's album cover.

The calling card to this one was discovering Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades during some free time during school. I was flicking through an emo playlist looking for songs and came across that song. I ended up loving it, and went ahead to listen to it after a good while. I loved it. This album is absolutely amazing. I'm so glad I had Brand New in my radar because goddamn this album. This album and their last one before this and their next one after, absolute amazement all around the board. Deja Entendu is great, go check it out today!

...I remember the day I truly figured out this album. It was a school day, and everyone around me noticed that I was a bit sad. In my earbud, I had this album on repeat, for the entire day, only stopping when one of them died. This album comforted me, and I learned every damn song on it, well, except for Luca. This album is truly a masterpiece, it will make you question and feel shit you've never dared to say. Swim the river that is this album, see what you can find.

WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. I GOT THIS AS AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT. I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS TO BE IN MY HANDS LIKE EVER? I THOUGHT THE CD WAS LIKE REALLY EXPENSIVE OR SOMETHING IT WAS $20 ON AMAZON THE LAST TIME I CHECKED. I can't believe this, this is huge. This is Bring Me The Horizon's debut EP, comprised of deathcore and just... wow. I thought this was rare. I cannot believe I was gifted this, this is surreal.

Suicide Season - Bring Me The Horizon

I love this album. Even though I love Count Your Blessings just a little bit more, I still love Suicide Season to death. It's instrumentation is insane, it's breakdowns are incredible, and the vocals got more emotive. Songwriting is much better, even though I still love the anger over-exaggeration on Count Your Blessings. Suicide Season is an amazing listen, go hear it now!

I feel so guilty that at first listen of this album, I wasn't into the full thing. After a relisten, I found the love for this album, and it hit like a train. I was addicted to this masterpiece for a while, and after a series of very lucky events, (Thank You, by the way :D), I received There Is A Hell... on CD. What an incredible album indeed, and rightfully deserving to be the prelude to the legendary Sempiternal.

Sempiternal - Bring Me The Horizon

I first got into Shadow Moses, then listened to the rest of the album. Now I have a CD of it. Funny how that goes. This is Bring Me The Horizon's fourth studio album and let me say, this this is absolute gold just like the cover (kinda). This is kinda like a Metalcore post metal thing I don't even know their genre now, all I know is that Sempiternal is an absolutely great album, and I'm glad I got the CD of it.

That's The Spirit - Bring Me The Horizon

While not being my favorite album from Bring Me The Horizon, it's definitely not a far cry from them. That's The Spirit is packed with bangers left, right, and center. I love the alternative rock sound with the elements of heaviness still apparent within there. It may not be the Bring Me The Horizon you remember, but I sure still love this album to death (Thanks man!).

Pop can be heavy too. That's what I learned on my second listen of Bring Me The Horizon's sixth studio album, amo. The band finished their evolution. They went from Deathcore, to Metalcore, to Alternative Rock, and here, to Pop. Granted, it's pop with rock and metal tendencies, but why does it work so damn good? A big piece of this strange puzzle must be attributed to Jordan Fish, mastermind behind electronics and keyboards. My first go-around, I didn't get this record, however once I got it on CD due to my pact to collect every Bring Me The Horizon studio album, I got the urge to relisten to the record. Apparently I developed my music taste a ton AND I forgot how heavy and actually really really good this album is. It may be my least favorite from the band, but it's still a fucking banger!

First up on the Haircut Quad, 4 CDs I acquired for a haircut, and they cut it way too short. Anyway, POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR is an incredible release from Bring Me The Horizon. It combines elements from all of their previous albums. It has the deathcore growls and shrieks of This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For, Count Your Blessings, and Suicide Season. It has the metalcore of There Is A Hell, Believe Me, I've Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let's Keep It A Secret and Sempiternal. It has the chill rock factors of That's The Spirit and the electronic sides of amo. Combine all of that together and POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR comes out. A polarizing release made to combat the boredom of quarantine. All of it's guest features are great too! They all do a great job either paralleling or contrasting the incredible Oli Sykes. Well done Bring Me The Horizon.

Fun story. Walked into a Record Store in Anchorage, not expecting anything. Saw a copy of Enema Of The State which was pretty cool. Looked over at the C's and saw A Rush Of Blood To The Head by Coldplay, my 3rd favorite Coldplay album, just sitting there. I gasped so loud I think the whole store heard me. I love this record, one of my absolute favorites from Coldplay. Sure, X&Y and Parachutes reign above this, but whatever, what a fantastic release, and my first album from 2002!

Yes, laugh at the man who thought X&Y was meh on first listen, yes laugh at him. This is the second CD from the Haircut Quad, and I actually saw this CD in Barnes & Noble a while back, but didn't pick it up because I wasn't fully into the album. One of the worst mistakes of my life for sure, I'm still kicking myself for it. X&Y is incredible. It's so good. Sure, it's longer than hell, but it's completely worth it. X&Y does such a good job at what it does. It also had to follow up A Rush Of Blood To The Head. Did Coldplay succeed at that? Why, Of course they did. X&Y is awesome, and a listen is mandatory! As of 2022, it is my current favorite record from Coldplay. Every single song deserves to be on this record.

On first listen, I didn't like this album that much. It was the same way with X&Y and Ghost Stories. Now look at me, I feel so silly pushing down this album. Let's face it, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends is a masterpiece. Have it not for my relisten of the album I would never be here owning the CD and writing this. This album is packed with bangers front and back, definitely one of Coldplay's best.

After my friend recommended me Coldplay, I saw myself not liking all of their albums because many of their songs exceeded 5 minutes or more, which really turned me around. However, there was one album that I didn't feel that way for. Mylo Xyloto. It's a beautiful record from front to back. It's amazing, and I absolutely recommend this album.

YES. YES. YES. YES. I have been waiting for this day for many months. This was the final Coldplay CD I needed, and it's finally in my grasp. Much like X&Y and Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, I didn't like it as much on first listen. However a second listen unlocked the passion. I loved the records transitions and instrumentals, and the stories that the album told were phenomenal. I can understand why this record is underrated by many. I encourage all to reverse that.

After being attracted to A Day To Remember via three songs off of Homesick and absolutely loving their track All Signs Point To Lauderdale, I listened to this album in the middle of the night after seeing it was only over 30 minutes. What came next was me owning this album on CD. I love Post-Hardcore and Pop Punk and A Day To Remember combine those genres in this amazing blend of what the band is. I've debated listening to another ADTR album, but for now, What Separates Me From You is my go-to.

Hailing from Wilmette, Illinois, Fall Out Boy is a Pop Punk Alternative Rock band which started in 2001. The band is made up of Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley, Patrick Stump, and Joe Trohman, and in 2003, with a little help from Sean O'Keefe, they released their first full length album, Take This To Your Grave. This album is known, for one, as a blueprint for Pop Punk going forward. However I see it as a Masterpiece, and Fall Out Boy's best work so far. You will most commonly see me talk about Grave online a whole lot. I just sometimes gush over my favorite album of all time to some people, and sometimes it ends up bad but hey, at least two people (You know who you are, G and H :D) understand me right? I received a physical copy of this album on March 6th, 2020 after a very long wait, with no way to track the package for some reason. I honestly thought it was gonna get lost or not get delivered. However, it did. That was one of the happiest days of my life, let me tell you.

Fall Out Boy had to go strong for their sophomore effort. They had to write a record that was amazing from each and every track. They had to create an album that could top the charts, and guess what? They succeeded. From Under The Cork Tree, released May 3rd, 2005, and blew the Fuck up. Mainly with the huge hit and To-Still-Be-Played-On-Radio-15-Years-Later song, Sugar, We're Goin Down. However don't forget about Dance, Dance! This time, being produced mainly by Neal Avron, however, some tracks were produced by Lord-Alge, as my copy of Cork Tree says. I received a physical copy of From Under The Cork Tree on July 16th, 2020. It was the second physical album I have ever owned, and it's a great album! I recommend.

Lemme ask you a question, Did Fall Out Boy drop a bombshell with their third studio album release, Infinity On High? Answer: Yes. Yes they sure as hell did. in 2007, Fall Out Boy released one of the heaviest, beautiful, and downright epic albums the world has ever seen (at least, in my eyes). Infinity On High is packed full of rockers, including Thriller, Hum Hallelujah, This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race, and who can forget Thnks Fr Th Mmrs? Most of this albums guitars are loud, heavy, and get you excited, while the more subtle tracks deliver some very deep messages. I adore this album, it's absolutely amazing. I received this album on August 27th, 2020, finally completing my collection of Fall Out Boy albums (I won't be buying their Post-Hiatus Albums because I don't like new Fall Out Boy). I was so excited to finally have this album because one, it completed my Fall Out Boy CD collection, and two, so many songs on it are masterpieces. I love this album, and I'm hella glad it exists.

Fun Fact (Not really fun but whatever), I used to not like this album. I know, I know. An album with such gems as Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes, America's Suitehearts, the legendary What A Catch, Donnie, and 20 Dollar Nose Bleed. Why didn't I like it? Well, the lyrics. I honestly felt the lyrics were too weird for me, and believe me, the lyrics are weird, but they're the good kind of weird. It's creative weird. However, music to me is all about lyrics. Lyrics mean everything in a song for me. The song has to be relatable to my life. However, if the song isn't relatable, I shift the songs meaning to something completely different. I couldn't do that really with Folie. Then, I decided to give Folie another chance, and that was a good decision on my part. I love the album now, don't worry, everything's fine. I can definitely recommend this underrated gold! I received a physical copy of this album on August 11th, 2020, and discovered the secrets the physical copy had in store.

From my favorite band of all time, it took this long. This is the third CD in the Haircut Quad, and I did a complete 180 turn on my feelings for this album. After experiencing a period of missing the song The Phoenix, I decided to give this album a full, uninterrupted, open minded chance. What came out was a hidden passion for this album. I've disliked post hiatus Fall Out Boy for a great margin of time, and I still do to an extent. I don't like American Beauty/American Psycho and I despise MANIA. Save Rock And Roll was the exception. I loved most of the featured guests and the lyrical content and the instrumentation. I loved it so much I wanted the CD of it, and guess what was lurking within Barnes & Noble? Of course, Save Rock And Roll. Good job Fall Out Boy!

The grieving Dave Grohl began a band back in 1995, and dropped their second album in 1997. This is The Colour And The Shape, and it's a rocker for sure. Introduced slowly by the amazing singles and a full listen later, this is my favorite album by the Foo Fighters. Riffs galore and some great songwriting, along with screaming from Dave Grohl. Drum's are excellent, I love this record so much. Still amazed the thrift store had this.

I was actually looking for Dookie, but I found this instead. Not complaining. Green Day's American Idiot is Phenomenal. It's one of the greatest albums probably ever, and it's story and songs are so good. Honestly, 2004 was such a great year for music. This gem dropped, and even The Killers' Hot Fuss. I have a lot of love for this album. It's instrumentals, long tracks, meaning, I can gush over this album for a long time, but I'll spare you from that. This is the third album from The Barnes & Noble Trinity, and I love it a lot.

I read somewhere that Hybrid Theory is the most successful album of 2000, and I want to agree with that, haha. Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's Debut album is a huge Nu Metal Rock Rap hybrid thing that is absolutely awesome front to back. The only song I'm slightly off set on is Cure For The Itch, however every single song otherwise, is just great. I'm so glad B&M had Hybrid Theory in stock. In fact, they had Meteora and Minutes To Midnight there as well, but I'm not that into Minutes To Midnight. It was a very hard decision because both Hybrid Theory and Meteora are amazing albums, but In The End, (Ha, see what I did there?) I picked up Hybrid Theory. I'll get Meteora some other day! Also, Hybrid Theory is the second on The Barnes & Noble Trinity.

December was Muse Month, and it got cut short because of earbud issues. However, during Muse Month, I completely fell in love with Origin of Symmetry. It quickly became my favorite record from the band, and I needed it on CD. Thank god Christmas was right around the corner, and I ordered it right on that day, and it came just 5 days later. I adore this record.

Black Holes and Revelations - Muse

This is my first Muse album, and I got the CD literally the same day I listened to the album. Only 7 hours had passed from initial listen to CD ownership, and with good reason too. This is a fantastic album. It centers around Space and Political Corruption. I love the sound provided here and the lyrical content is Ace. Maybe I'll check out another Muse album in the future and get them solidified as a favorite band. Who knows?

I love thrift stores. They can be full of desired targets or impulse purchases. This was an impulse purchase, beyond no doubt. I had heard mixed things about this album, but decided to give it a home anyway. I listened to it, thought. 5 tracks were good, immediately started skipping 4 of those tracks and went right back to only listening to Uprising. Now, I view this record in a completely different light. This record is fantastic. The riffs from the past are still here but electronic parts are more abundant, and they just do it so damn well. It doesn't top Drones for me, but I'm finally able to raise this record up, and let it stand and shine with it's own glory. Thank God for Muse.

I agree with many people when they say this project is underrated. Fantastic electronic parts and stellar guitar and bass throughout, especially present on Supremacy. We even get Chris Wolstenholme on vocals for two track. Finally, let the bassist have some. When's Dominic's tracks though? Anyway, The 2nd Law is underrated, if you're a fan of electronics and electronics in rock, then this record is for you.

Unpopular opinion, but I think Drones is really good. I think it has a rightful place in Muse's discography. I don't see the hate honestly. Okay, maybe I do a little bit, but I just can't get over these kickass guitar riffs. They make me want to air guitar for eternity, hah. Fun story about this CD, I paid EXTRA for expedited shipping. It was the only CD in that bulk order that was late. YUP! Like maybe 2 weeks late honestly, and remember: I PAID EXTRA. I'm so mad, but whatever I have Drones now. Thank Matt Bellamy.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was the sophomore effort from My Chemical Romance, and god dammit they blew it out of the park. I love this album, it's a true testament to raw punk rock emo awesomeness. 2004 was such a great year for music.

If I tell you to think about music from 2006, what would you think of?....Okay you're wrong. You should be thinking of My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade, MCR's third studio album, a huge hit on the music scene, and the heartbreaking story of The Patient as he suffers from Cancer, but in the end, does he survive? Or does he fall to hell? However, this album is great. It's beautiful. It was either this or Pretty. Odd. and if this was there, abandon Pretty. Odd. because I could only choose 3 CD's, but I am glad I got The Black Parade, because only god knows how long there will be a $4 Option for it on Amazon. And for it, it is first up on the Barnes & Noble Trinity.

Life's Not Out To Get You - Neck Deep

After being recommended by an old friend, and other sources speaking highly of this album, I finally gave it a shot, and the only thing I could say after was, "...Why the hell was I avoiding this?" This is Neck Deep's Sophomore Effort, released in 2015, a year where I thought Pop Punk was pretty much dead. This is an absolute masterpiece, pretty much all way through. It's also my first slim cardboard case, so that's pretty cool.

(Sorry about the hype sticker, this was the best image of it I could find.) On my first listen of this album, I thought it was 4/5. Definitely a solid record, but not my favorite thing in the world. However, when I found the Target Exclusive version of SOUR in... well... Target, I got it, knowing I should give it a second chance, and a second chance I gave it. A combination of chill acoustic elements, an absolutely emotional single (which almost got me to cry on this second full listen) and two absolute rockers in brutal and good 4 u. I don't care what anybody else says about this album, but it's popularity is justified because the songs are actually so fucking good.

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out - Panic! At The Disco

What a great album. Love it to bits, such a classic and amazing debut from this band. A Fever You Sweat Out came out in 2005 and starts off as like an electronic rock dance thing and then switches it up for a more burlesque sound, which is just pure gold in both instances. I recommend this album forever. What an absolute banger.

Pretty. Odd. - Panic! At The Disco

2008 was a strange but amazing year for music. Especially for Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco. Panic!'s sophomore effort took on a more folk sound, stuff that sounds much like bands like The Beatles. Pretty. Odd. is an absolute beautiful record. It took a very long time to get to me, but it was very worth it. I love this record. It is a very big strayaway from their debut album, but Pretty. Odd. deserves way more recognition from everybody. I don't know why it's one of their most poor selling, it's a masterpiece.

In 2011, with only two bandmates, Brendon and Spencer released.... well... this gem, this sapphire, this fucking diamond. Vices & Virtues is just, all hail V&V, it's such a great album. The sound is pretty similar to 2005's A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, but almost on an entirely different level, this is such a great album. I highly recommend.

I have been searching stores for this, and finally it's in my possession. Now I have more Paramore CDs! I actually haven't heard the album in full for a while, I only knew a few songs, but when I heard it in full, I loved it. All We Know Is Falling is definitely an amazing starter for a band that would go on to do many more incredible things. Hell, the pictures of the band members just screams Emo AF, and My Heart literally has those pop punk screams like Fall Out Boy would do. I love this album. It's the second part of the "Brothers Money Trio."

Riot! by Paramore is a very, very energetic and down low kind of album, with its powerful anthems and clean sound. I'm very glad to have this album, it's my favorite Paramore album.

Ava G animated Gone Gone Gone, now I'm here. I had some extra Amazon money and thought "Hey, why not?" It took me a relisten to this record to realize how actually good it was. This is a fantastic album from a winner of American Idol. I still can't get over that. American Idol winners can make good music? Well shit. This guy's voice is fantastic, I'm very glad he won AI because he wouldn't be on Interscope if he wasn't. Love this record, go listen!

When I was first presented with Echoes, I couldn't wrap my head around how long it was. I was still only really comfortable with 3-6 minute long songs, and the longest song in my playlist at the time was Homecoming by Green Day. However, after watching a video dissecting and picking apart the track, that descending guitar riff got stuck in my head. I kept humming it to myself over and over again until finally, I took 23 minutes out of my life to listen to the song for the very first time. Echoes opened the doors for me for records like Wish You Were Here and Animals, and the song itself is absolutely fucking amazing. The whole record is great too, don't get me wrong. It's pretty chill after One of These Days. Meddle is the point where Pink Floyd became Pink Floyd. Flashpoint, the turnover, the point of no return. Thanks Echoes!

Stunning solos, the synths are on point, and it makes me wish Syd was there. That was the point, right?

It is complete. I now have the big five from Pink Floyd. Meddle, The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, although I might replace this copy of Animals with something else because it doesn't have a back insert. However, this will work for now. I still can't believe I found this at a thrift store. Somebody gave up their Pink Floyd collection, that's for sure. Anyway, this is a fantastic album. It may seem very intimidating on the surface, but give it some time. The record will slowly pull you in as it's guitars and vocals get stuck in your head. Animals is yet another god tier record for Pink Floyd.

It felt like only a few days ago when a friend of mine began their journey through the works of Pink Floyd. I always had an interest in Pink Floyd, but the longer songs of instrumentals and such turned me away. I listened to The Dark Side of the Moon a while ago, but only gave it 4/5 for an odd reason. I have that album on CD too, and I plan to relisten to it. I also had The Wall on that list, and after so long of just anticipation, I finally got ready to listen to The Wall, and so I did. In one sitting, and it was incredible. One of the greatest musical experiences I've ever had, for sure. I physically am unable to say anything new about The Wall, but what I can say is that it's story to me, is one big metaphor for my life, and the mistakes I've made and the choices I've ran with. I don't mean for it to sound egotistical or anything, it's just how I view The Wall, and I love it. I absolutely love it.

So a friend of mine started listening to Queens of the Stone Age a while back, they started doing a part-discography run of the band and they reviewed Rated R in a positive fashion. Now, I have experience with Queens of the Stone Age. I thought Songs For The Deaf was a great record, but I never really came back to many of the songs often, unfortunately. Skip to like, early December of 2021. I'm in a thrift store in Anchorage looking through the CDs and what do I find? A perfectly clean, a perfectly playing, a perfect copy of Rated R. Just sitting there! I thought about the positive review my friend gave to Rated R, and decided to bring this home with me. Definitely a great impulse purchase because after I got it, I listened to the album like 2 months later and I loved it. Very happy with this one.

OK Computer - Radiohead

For the longest time, I didn't get the hype around this album or Radiohead as a whole. I thought it/they was/were too long, too boring, and the only song I came back to was Karma Police. However, recently, something clicked within my brain, which made me understand Radiohead. I believe it started with a song not on OK Computer, but on Kid A. Everything In It's Right Place and it's synth line was stuck in my head for a while, and I gave that song a re-listen (I've listened to Kid A before). I actually really liked it, and that gave me an incentive to re-listen to Kid A, and The Bends, then I really wanted to listen to In Rainbows, and A Moon Shaped Pool, and beneath all that, there was the desire to re-listen to OK Computer. So I did, and I finally understood it. The album spoke to me stories of my past, my present, and the lives of other people. It spoke to me my mistakes, and the grim truths of the life and world around me. I can finally say, without a doubt, I understand Radiohead, and I understand OK Computer. This is no longer an impulse buy I've been hanging on to, this is a CD I needed to own.

It was the first song on this album that contributed to me getting into Radiohead on a deeper, much deeper level. A relisten of this record later and now it's recognized by me as a masterpiece. A pinnacle of experimental music, seen as such by me. I actually have a pretty personal connection with this record now. I see it as a prequel to OK Computer. I wrote an entire document explaining my viewpoint on both those records and how they are connected in my eyes. I'll probably link it somewhere, but for now, here is Kid A, in my collection.

A friend of mine who really loves Radiohead and really brought their existence to my attention (Thank you btw) always wanted me to listen to In Rainbows, thinking I would really like it. Now, when this was, I was actually doing a full Radiohead discography run. However, after I listened to Amnesiac, I dropped it, not getting to In Rainbows. However, after I got into OK Computer, I started planning out relistens and more albums by Radiohead to listen to. I actually ended up listening to In Rainbows as the second Radiohead album to listen to after my OK Computer relisten. I was not expecting what I heard, to be honest. Chill art rock with beautiful tendencies and that classic Radiohead lyrical charm. I loved it on first listen, and I even come back to the full record here and there. Probably gonna do that more cause I got the CD now.

THIS ALBUM FUCKING RULES. I wanna thank the radio for playing MYSTERY, which is my favorite song off the album. I remember some people showing the album cover here and there, and because I loved MYSTERY so much, I gave the whole album a play. My jaw dropped. I adored what I was hearing. Some have given the album the label of "Dream Punk." I cannot agree more. I've been addicted to this record for a good bit now, and I'm so glad the government or whatever gave me my $10 so I could order it off of Amazon. I love love love love LOVE this album. Massive, gigantic recommendation from me.

Christian Post-Hardcore, with like barely any kind of christian references or imagery. Say what you will about Underoath and such, but wow, this album really got me. I love these instruments, these electronics, these vocals, these stories. It all started with Reinventing your Exit, goddamn what times were those right? This is actually the special edition of the record, and I do like the whole green look, this is really cool.

I had to pick up a CD copy of this great album and absolute classic.

Whenever I got into Check Yes, Juliet and was interested in the entire album of We The Kings Self Titled, I was doubtful. I am an Aromantic and this album is by a band that I like to put in the genre of "Love Bands." What happened next was a love story. I loved this album, and that's why I purchased a copy of it which, surprisingly, came with an order of Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64, which was completely unexpected, but I'll take an early CD over a late CD.

Greatest Hits - The White Stripes

I saw this CD in the Target a while back, and I didn't pick it up. Then I started kicking myself because I want to get into more White Stripes. After being allowed to trade a Nirvana shirt for this CD when we went to Target again, of course I went ahead and picked up the CD. This is gonna help me get into more White Stripes. An hour and 21 Minutes of White Stripes tunes. This CD is also a part of the Haircut Quad.
