Unaswered Prayers
O Lord,
we thank You for every answered prayer:
the swift “Yes” that filled us with joy,
the patient “Wait” that saved us from ourselves,
the loving “No” that shielded us from harm.
For every grace we see and every grace we only understand years later,
we give You praise.
The prayers still unanswered we place trustingly in Your wounded hands,
knowing You always answer in Your time, in Your way, with perfect love.
Teach us to knock and never stop thanking.
