Litany of Thanks

My Lord and my God,  I fall on my knees and love, adore and praise You.

We thank You for all Your gifts, seen and unseen.

Thank You for creating us—body and soul—in Your own image.  

Thank You for the flood of grace and every virtue You pour into our hearts. 

Thank You for this majestic, vast, and wondrous universe,  

for the sun that warms us, the moon that lights our nights,  

and for every star that sings Your glory. 

Thank You for our planet, this beautiful spec of dust in your vast majestic universe, 

entrusted to our care. We thank You for its rich gifts:  

gravity that holds us, air that fills our lungs,  

food and water that sustain us day by day and for all its boundless resources. 

Thank You for the miracle of our bodies, minds, and immortal souls,  

for eyes to see, ears to hear, and senses to delight in Your works,  

for legs that carry us and hands that serve.

Thank You for shelter, warmth, running water, electricity , our transportation 

and all the marvels of technology that ease our days. 

 Thank You for health of body and peace of heart.  

 Thank You for our country  and for the precious gifts of civil and religious freedom  

that allow us to worship You without fear.

My Lord and my God,  

everything is your gift, everything is grace.  

Accept our humble thanks,  

and teach us to live every moment for love of You.
