President
The President is the chief spokesperson and leader of YDJC. They set the vision for the organization, preside over meetings, coordinate with state and local Democratic organizations, and ensure YDJC stays active in advocacy, elections, and community engagement.
Vice President
The Vice President supports the President, helps oversee the standing committees, and steps in when the President is unavailable. They play a key role in organizing events, voter outreach, and ensuring the organization runs smoothly.
Secretary
The Secretary keeps YDJC organized by recording meeting minutes, maintaining official records, and handling internal communications. They ensure members stay informed and that important documents are easily accessible.
Treasurer
The Treasurer manages YDJC’s finances, including fundraising efforts, budgeting, and compliance with financial regulations. They ensure the organization has the resources needed to fund events, outreach, and operations.
According to our current constitution and bylaws, all active YDJC members are required to join at least one standing committee. These committees play a vital role in keeping our organization active, engaged, and effective. To join, sign up for one at the meeting or email us at youngdemsjc@gmail.com.
Field Operations – this committee organizes fieldwork like canvassing, phone banking, Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts, and creating literature & scripts. Led by the Vice President.
Programs & Membership – handles event planning, meeting organization, guest speakers, and membership recruitment. Led by the Second Vice Chair.
Community Relations – focuses on publicity, social media, and promoting YDJC events.this committee focuses on publicity, social media, and promoting YDJC events. Led by the Third Vice Chair.

Enforces the Bylaws and oversees the organization.
Presides over all meetings and calls special meetings when necessary.
Appoints chairpersons of standing committees and other select committees (with majority approval from members).
Represents YDJC at conventions and official functions.
Chairs the Executive Board and co-manages the organization's finances with the Secretary/Treasurer.
Advises and assists the President in administering the organization.
Takes on the President's duties in their temporary absence.
Directs field operations, including organizing canvassing, voter outreach, and other activities.
Maintains all organizational files and records minutes of all meetings.
Manages official correspondence for YDJC, including notifications and updates to members.
Ensures compliance with organizational bylaws and records decisions and actions of the Executive Board.
Maintains accurate contact lists for members and handles administrative tasks related to membership.
Manages the financial affairs of YDJC, including all transactions, budgeting, and financial planning.
Collects membership dues, maintains financial records, and prepares periodic financial reports.
Files finance reports with the North Carolina State Board of Elections and ensures compliance with state regulations.
Co-manages the organization's bank account with the President, overseeing expenditures and deposits.
Develops and implements digital strategies to promote YDJC events, campaigns, and initiatives online.
Manages all YDJC social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
Oversees the YDJC website, ensuring it is up-to-date with relevant information and resources.
Works with the Communications Committee to design digital materials such as graphics, videos, and newsletters.
Documents the history and achievements of YDJC, maintaining an archive of events, activities, and milestones.
Takes photos and records key moments at meetings, rallies, and other events for historical purposes.
Prepares an annual report or scrapbook showcasing YDJC’s accomplishments and growth.
Collaborates with the Communications Director to share YDJC's history and impact on social media and other platforms.
