With deep roots dating back to 1928, the Young Democrats of North Carolina proudly stand as the oldest Young Democrats chapter in America and the founding force behind the Young Democrats of America. Building upon this remarkable legacy, the Young Democrats of Johnston County are dedicated to carrying forward the torch of progressive leadership and active civic engagement. As part of North Carolina's fastest-growing county, we are a vibrant and dynamic community of Democrats aged 18 to 36, committed to shaping a more inclusive and prosperous future for all residents.

We strive to empower young voices and ensure that our generation plays a decisive role in local and state politics. Through advocacy, community organizing, and fostering meaningful dialogue, we honor the longstanding tradition of Democratic excellence while adapting to the unique challenges and opportunities of our rapidly evolving county. The Young Democrats of Johnston County are not just inheritors of a proud history—we are active architects of progress, working tirelessly to advance the values and ideals that have defined our party for nearly a century.

Our current President, Daniel Franch, who grew up right here in Johnston County, rechartered the Johnston County Young Democrats in 2021, breathing new life into the organization. Since then, we’ve only continued to grow, attracting more young leaders and expanding our influence in the community. Under Daniel’s leadership, we’ve built a strong foundation rooted in our local heritage, and we’re more committed than ever to driving positive change and empowering the next generation of Democratic leaders in Johnston County.
