The Young Democrats of Johnston County, NC

The Young Democrats of Johnston County are a dynamic and passionate group of 16-36 year-old Democrats and Unaffiliateds committed to shaping the future of our rapidly growing community. 

As the fastest-growing county in North Carolina, we believe in harnessing this momentum to drive positive change through progressive values and grassroots activism. 

Our mission is to engage, empower, and uplift young voices in local politics, ensuring that the diverse needs and aspirations of all residents are represented. By organizing, advocating, and voting, we aim to build a more inclusive, equitable, and prosperous Johnston County for everyone. 

Since rechartering in 2021 under the leadership of Daniel Franch, the Young Democrats of Johnston County have been actively involved in shaping our community and making a difference. We've organized numerous voter registration drives, ensuring that the voices of young people are heard at the ballot box. 

Our members have knocked on doors, made phone calls, and hosted events to support local Democratic candidates and causes. We’ve also created opportunities for political education and engagement, from hosting candidate forums to facilitating discussions on key issues affecting our county and state. 

Through our collective efforts, we’ve built a stronger, more connected network of young Democrats who are committed to making Johnston County a better place for all.
