Dr Youngcho Lee

Hello, my name is Youngcho Lee [이영초] (she/her). 

I am a social scientist interested in family, care, work, gender, social policies, and research methodologies, with a focus on caregiving fathers. I am one of the FemQuant coordinators.

After my first major project on caregiving fathers and their uptake of parental leave in South Korea (2018-2022), I am currently working with data collected from my second major project funded by the ESRC (ES/X006344/1) on South Korean dual-earner parents' work and family life (2022-). 

I completed my PhD in Sociology at the University of Cambridge (funded by the Cambridge Trust and Murray Edwards College). Since then, I have worked at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Department of Social Policy as a postdoctoral fellow.
