Council plays a significant role in our members 4-H career.
Together, 4-H members, from different communities, schools, etc. come together and learn how to work together and to not only support but actively participate in the growth of our Young County 4-H program.
Council officer nominations are submitted in April with elections taking place in either May or June. You must be active within your club and have served as a member of county council for a minimum of one year to run for office. Officers may hold the same officer position for two consecutive years.
At the beginning of each year council members meet to discuss and determine special activities they would like to promote, implement, or assist with on behalf of county council. These activities are generally promotional, leadership, or service oriented.
Young County 4-H Council
4-H County Council plan and coordinate 4-H activities at the county level. The Young County 4-H Council also promotes county, district and state level 4-H activities.
County Council is comprised of 4-H members from each of the various 4-H clubs in the County.
4-H members interested in participating in county council must be active within their clubs and in good standing.
