A group order is a way for multiple people to order items together to reduce shipping costs and fees by dividing them among everyone that joins. It can also be used to help someone obtain items he or she would otherwise not be able to. Group orders are more affordable but usually take longer for you to receive the items compared to buying it directly from the seller.
A group order is managed by a group order manager, which in this case would be me! They are responsible for purchasing the items, calculating the payment amounts, shipping, packaging, communicating with joiners, and any other responsibilities that come with handling a group order.
✔ I'm a fan of all the fandoms I host group orders for! I've also joined other group orders before and understand what being a joiner is like.
✔ I am transparent. If you would like to know how I calculated something, feel free to email me, and I'll break it down!
✔ My major involves handling money, being efficient, and saving time and money! I apply what I've learned to my group orders; thus, I'm very efficient in all that I do.
✔ I'm usually quick to answer any messages I receive through email or DM.
✔ I try to reduce the use of plastic due to its harmful effects on the environment, and that's reflected in my packaging. I try to reuse whenever I can, but due to the amount of joiners, I most likely will have to purchase shipping supplies, so when I do, I try to find eco-friendly alternatives!
Nope, the only thing you will be charged for is
the cost of the items
shipping from the seller, artist, or warehouse to me
shipping from me to you
any fees incurred in the process like PayPal fees
domestic shipping from the seller to my Chinese or Korean warehouse (usually only for individual orders)
shipping supplies
mailers ($0.30-$0.42)
rigid mailers ($0.33)
tape (~$0.10)
bubble wrap ($0.10 for one foot)
cardboard (~$0.50)
card ($0.23)
I work as a GOM because it's an enjoyable hobby for me. Everything I do is non-profit, but at the same time, I don't want to lose money.
With that being said, shipping supplies like tape are hard to calculate. I try my best to estimate the cost.
I also might charge more if I use more bubble wrap, tape, etc. for your order.
There are two payment methods:
✦ Friends & Family (Sending to a friend or someone you trust)
✦ Goods & Services (Paying for an item or service)
This option is no longer accepted due to new changes implemented by PayPal. If you cannot send payments via PayPal using F&F, please contact me, and we can work something out.
When you pay with G&S (the second option), you're covered by Purchase Protection, but when you use this option, the person you're sending the money to has to pay a fee. Since I'm doing this for no profit, I'm not obligated to pay the fee. The joiners that join my group order and want Purchase Protection will choose this option and pay the fee themselves.
If you're from the USA, usually adding $2 covers the fee; if you're not afraid to do some math, you could calculate the fee yourself. The way you calculate it is the same way that international joiners would calculate it, but you'll use 3.49% + 0.49 to get the fee.
If you're international you will have to do some math to calculate the fee. You would multiply the total you are paying by 5% and add 0.49 to get the fee.
For example, if your total is $25,
✦ 25 * 0.05 = 1.25
✦ 1.25 + 0.49 = 1.74 (fee)
✦ 1.74 + 25 = $26.74 (total payment)
Therefore, your fee would be $1.74! The total amount you would send me is $26.74
If you need help figuring out the math or have any questions, feel free to message me!
I cannot accept G&S payments because of the new changes implemented by PayPal as of January 2022. If I accept G&S payments, and the total exceeds $600, PayPal will report it to the IRS, and I will have to pay taxes. Most of the group orders I open are P4P, meaning I make no profit off of them, so this is unfair to me.
If you can't pay via PayPal but would still like to join my group orders, please contact me as soon as possible, and we can try to work something out, but I can't guarantee it.
Another option I offer and recommend is TransferWise. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know, and I will try my best.
If you miss a payment without informing me of a need for an extension, you will be charged a late fee of 50¢ per day late for the next five days after the deadline. After the five days have passed, your order will be CANCELLED WITH NO REFUNDS, and your items will go up for reclaims. If you still want the items, you can try during reclaims.
When I send emails out asking for payments, I usually offer ample time to pay - at least a week. If you need an extension for whatever reason, you must email me BEFORE THE DEADLINE!
I always post on Twitter and on Discord when payments are due. If you see that you haven't received an email, you can still check your due payment on the spreadsheet, which can be found from my masterlist. I will not accept any excuses.
I use Gmail, so most of these tips apply to Gmail, but there should be similar features in other email providers.
If you can, send your payment immediately as soon as you receive the email requesting the payment. If you decide not to pay yet, you can mark the email as unread, so when you check your email next time, you'll see that email in bold again! To mark it as unread, select the email, and click the button boxed in red.

If you are not receiving my email for some reason, and/or it's going to Spam, you can do this:
1) At the top where the search bar is, click on the settings button on the right boxed in red in this picture below.
2) Type in my email address in the "From" box and click "Create Filter"
3) There are several options you can choose. I recommend:
✦ Star it
✦ Never send it to Spam
✦ Always mark it as important
You can also choose to apply this to past emails from me, but it's not really needed. I've done this though when I create filters and labels for organization.
Once you've applied the filters, click "Create Filter," and then you're done!

Turn notifications on for my Twitter account. I usually post an update when I've sent payment emails. If you're worried about being spammed with notifs, I try to post and retweet only things relevant to my group orders

For international shipping, it depends on the items, but it will usually be EMS as it is fast, affordable, and cheap. All in the name of saving money, I might use cheaper but slower shipping methods some times, but that's rare.
For domestic shipping from me to you, I use USPS.
You don't have to do anything yet. An email will be sent out for you to confirm your address after I've packaged your order. If your address is correct, you don't have to do anything. If it's incorrect, you would reply to that email with the new address.
Yes, you can. I will try my best to automatically combine all orders that have arrived to me based on the email you provide and your initials, but in the case I run low on space, I won't combine orders unless you're outside of the USA.
If you are missing an item, I will do my best to solve it on my end, but in the case of P4Ps sometimes, there is not much I can do as everything is non-profit, and I usually only order the exact amount for my group orders, meaning there are no extras.
You must have a video of the unboxing. If you don't, there's really nothing I can do.
Yes, you can as long as you haven't paid and if I haven't submitted the orders. Please email me, and I will adjust your order accordingly.
If you've already submitted your order and paid, there will be no cancellations or refunds. Please do not join group orders if you are unsure!
I will try my best to get the money back to refund everyone, but if I can't, there is not much I can do. This is one of the risks that you take when you join a group order.
Reclaims are items that the buyers did not want or did not pay for.
I will announce when reclaims will be and post a Google Form for it after I've received the items and shipped it out to all the joiners. Everyone has a chance to claim those items.
Once you fill out the form, you must wait for a confirmation email. After you receive the email, please proceed with the instructions listed. You have 24 hours to submit the payment, or it will go to the next person.
Lotus is a friend I've made while in the danmei fandom! Every now and then, she helps me by packaging and shipping items from my group orders to you.
She is really sweet, likes making plushies, and enjoys the packaging process the most when hosting group orders. Her favorite danmei is Mo Dao Zu Shi, and she loves what she calls "the Hamster Man" from Scum Villain's Self-Saving System. This is her Twitter!
