WELCOME TO THE 2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR!
Yorktown SEPTA supports all our youth by providing meaningful volunteer opportunities, learning opportunities, awareness campaigns, grants for special education teachers, support for families, and advice on navigating services. We encourage relevant district support as well as fostering partnerships with student volunteers, caregivers, educators and volunteer students. We work with YCSD Pupil Personnel Services to advocate for and support our youth.
Your membership and donations will continue to support these efforts.
SEPTA serves and supports students, families and faculty. Students needing services can include a broad range of categories and extent of support. Some of these include but are not limited to; a little or a lot of reading help, math assistance, social emotional support, accommodations, modifications, physical therapy, speech, etc. Students may have 504 plans, IEPs, receive RTI, have general learning challenges or require just a little support. Every student is unique and we look forward to helping support the wide range of needs within our community.
We strive to create a sense of community for all families of children needing extra support, from pre-school through high school.
We hope to continue to sponsor industry-professional speakers, parent support gatherings, library resources and educational programs in an effort to create a true parent support and community network.
Yorktown SEPTA has been awarded the 2025-2026 New York State PTA Good Apple Membership Growth Award – Silver Level!
This statewide recognition is presented to PTA units that remain in good standing while achieving over 50% membership growth compared to the previous year. It reflects the dedication of our volunteers and, most importantly, the incredible support of our members and school community.
Thank you to everyone who joined, volunteered, attended events, and supported our mission throughout the year. Your commitment helps us advocate for students with disabilities, provide meaningful programs for families, and strengthen inclusion across our district.
Thank you for being part of our success—we can’t wait to continue growing together!
