What are YRC grants for?
The Yorkshire Rowing Council provides funding to support people coaching British Rowing registered rowers in Yorkshire.
Previous grants have been awarded for:
British Rowing Leader course
British Rowing Session Coach
UKCC Level 2 Club Coach
UKCC Level 3 Senior Club Coach
UKCC Level 2 Strength and Conditioning
RYA Level 2 powerboat driving
British Weight Lifting Level 2 Club Coach
Lifeguard Course
Courses & Qualifications
The British Rowing Education & Training Programme covers a broad range of rowing skills, including:
Coaching
Skills (e.g. rigging)
Clean Sport
Safeguarding
Club Development
Safety
Indoor Rowing
Umpiring
What are the rules?
All grants are discretionary & subject to funds being available
Candidates must be members of British Rowing & a Yorkshire club, and are expected to be willing to help out at YRC events such as the Yorkshire Head
The grant is one third of the course cost, up to a maximum of £250
Your club must agree to match a further third of the course cost
Grants are paid to the candidate's club on successful completion of the course

How do I apply?
Your grant application must be sent to us at least 28 days before the course start-date.
We cannot accept applications received after the course has begun or has been completed.
Please note that the application contains a section which must be filled in by your club before you send it to us, so make sure you factor this in!
