UMPIRES

The Yorkshire Region has many umpires drawn from the clubs across the region.

Umpires officiate at both head races and regattas within our region and beyond using the core principles of safety, fairness and outcome to guide them in their application of the British Rowing Rules of Racing.

Generally, each event will work in consultation with the umpires to try and ensure that there are sufficient available to satisfy the requirements of the event.

Without a ready pool of available umpires, the events cannot run.

Become an Umpire

This is a final reminder that if anyone is interested in embarking on the 6 week Umpire Training Course please contact me direct so that I can discuss with you what the training entails and how you can enrol.  there is no cost attached!

The first Session is by Zoom and will take place on Tuesday 5 March at which time we will discuss the mode pf the next sessions (Zoom or Face to Face at BARC Clubhouse)  and adjust any dates if some are inconvenient to most.

Anyone interested is strongly encouraged to participate in what promises to be an interesting entry to the world of being a BR Umpire!
