Complaint: COURSE REGISTRATION (Answered 2022/03/28)
The course registration system is inefficient.
We do not have enough seats for ITFM classes.
A lot of the classes are open during the same time period.
School Server is very fragile.
Want school to not limit the number of students for each class.
Suggestions from students:
Allocate separate dates of course Enrollment for different semester students in descending order.
Since all classes are just once a week, courses that are overflowing with student requests to enroll can be divided into A & B wherein the concerned Professor can be requested to take the class in 2 batches of students per week.
Regulation on the intake of Freshman.
Have separate enrollment periods so that each student can only enroll in two classes at a time until the next enrollment period.
Add a waiting list so that you are automatically enrolled if someone drops instead of having to manually drop a class and add another

The rules of course enrollment itself are not set by the GSIS, it is decided by the University itself (for example, separate group enrollment) In case of class management suggestions, most of the recommendations made by students cannot be arbitrarily adjusted by the office without the understanding from each professor.
The office will talk to each professor about classes being concentrated on the same time period so it can be evenly distributed when setting the timetable in the future. In addition, considering the rapid increase in the number of freshmen, the Dean is also aware of the problem of insufficient classes, so we plan to open more classes next semester.
Request: ADDING ADDITIONAL COURSE (Answered 2022/04/21, Follow-up on 2022/04/29)
Request from Student: Request for Dean to consider opening Introduction to International Security by a specific professor.
The student believes there is a demand among GSIS students for a class that introduces the theoretical underpinnings and concepts in the field of international security.
There is currently no such class that introduces international security studies as a field.
The Professor that already teaches relevant field in GSIS stated his willingness to teach it if GSIS would be open to it, and if enough students desire it.

The Professor that the student requested as a lecturer is a professor that has been teaching GSIS courses frequently. The office has delivered the student's request to the Chair of the International Cooperation and it is being reviewed as of April 29th.
