GPA Requirements: 3.7
Your overall GPA must be 3.7 or over. If your GPA does not reach 3.7, you must submit a letter of justification with signatures from advisor & chair of major
3rd or above
You can apply to write a thesis starting your 3rd semester. You can apply your 4th semester, and write a thesis your 5th semester.*
*PhD Comprehensive Exam + Foreign Language Test

Have a Research Topic, Outline, and Proposal beforehand (So that your advisors can give you realistic feedback)
Find Your Advisor
Advisors must be FULL-TIME faculty
You have to have two extra committee members extra
Communicate ASAP (take their courses and work as a TA)
Submit to the Office on-time!

Your thesis must be checked for plagiarism. Submit the final paper to Turnitin

Decide time & venue for presentation (around 2-3 date and times for your committee)

In finding your thesis advisor, you should do three things:
Take classes in a topic that you want to write about
GO TO OFFICE HOURS and get to know that professor
Once the semester comes to a close contact that professor!
