Originally from Italy, I began practising yoga in 2018 while completing my university studies in Bologna. What started as a way to reconnect with my body and create space within a demanding daily life soon developed into a dedicated and ongoing practice.
Ashtanga Yoga became an important foundation of my journey. Over the years, I have practised with different teachers and communities across Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal and the Netherlands. In 2024, I travelled to Mysore, India, to deepen my practice with Sharath Jois. Afterwards, my 300-hour yoga teacher training with Liliana Nuño and continued study of Somatic Yoga profoundly influenced the way I understand and teach movement.
Today, I integrate a somatic and mindful approach into all my classes—including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative Yoga, Yoga-Pilates and hydrotherapy. A somatic approach invites us to experience movement from within, paying attention to sensations, breathing patterns and the body’s individual responses rather than focusing only on how a posture looks. Mindful movement means moving with presence, curiosity and intention, taking time to notice what feels supportive and adapting the practice accordingly.
This approach can help develop greater body awareness, coordination and ease of movement while revealing habitual patterns of tension. It may also support nervous-system regulation, concentration and a more respectful relationship with the body. Rather than pushing everyone towards the same external form, I offer options and adaptations so that each student can explore movement in a way that suits their experience, energy and physical needs.
My classes combine clear guidance and attention to alignment with space for personal exploration. Depending on the practice, they may be dynamic and strengthening, quiet and restorative, or playfully exploratory—but breath, awareness and attentive movement always remain at the centre.
I also maintain a regular Vipassana meditation practice, which supports the qualities I aim to bring into my teaching: presence, patience, humility and openness. For me, yoga is not about achieving the perfect posture. It is an ongoing practice of listening, learning and cultivating a more conscious connection between body, breath and mind.
