The Yeshwant College Library is more than just a place to borrow books. It is a hub of academic activity, providing students with resources and facilities that support their studies and personal growth. The library is the heart of college, which serves as a central point of academic curriculum knowledge for all library users. In addition to routine library services, the library also offers a range of services and opportunities that cater to the information needs of differently-abled and economically backward students.
One of the most important services offered by the library is the provision of Braille reading material and a Brailler type-writer for blind students. This ensures that visually-impaired students have access to the same information and resources as their sighted peers. Additionally, the library has a separate issue counter available for differently-abled persons, making it easier for them to borrow books and other reading material.
The library also plays a crucial role in implementing the book bank scheme for economically backward students. This scheme allows students with limited financial resources to borrow books for the entire academic year one set of books, without having to worry about the cost of purchasing them. In addition, the library has implemented an Earn and Learn scheme, which allows students to work at the library and earn money while also gaining valuable experience in library management and user service.
Library is a testament to the library's dedication to serving its diverse student body.
