The Young Men's Indian Association (YMIA), with a history spanning over a century, has established a commendable reputation for trustworthiness. Our karate program commenced in November 2014. Over the past decade, the karate dojo has flourished under the guidance of Sensei R. Goutham (Dan IV Black belt) , Student of Sensei R.K. Venkat (Dan VIII Black belt)
The karate we teach is Shito-Ryu Karate. It combines elements of both hard (linear) and soft (circular) techniques, making it a well-rounded martial art. It was founded in 1931 by Kenwa Mabuni. Safe and structured Training for Children and Teens. Focuses on Non-Aggression and Discipline. Shito-Ryu has the largest number of Kata among all karate styles. This provides students with more technical diversity and challenge. We charge only 2000 rupees as a yearly Membership.
