We're a parent-led advisory that brings together our parents, school staff, and students to support academic success, well-being, and a sense of belonging at York Mills CI.
As a partner to the school and TDSB, we advocate for resources, organize events, and support initiatives that strengthen achievement and engagement. Check out last year's highlights and get involved in our 2025/26 initiatives and events to help make this year even better!
Our School Council is made up of volunteers including parents, guardians, administration, and staff. Each fall, we elect or acclaim up to 15 parent/caregivers members to serve as voting representatives. Voting members attend meetings and help shape the direction of the school, including decisions about direction, activities, and spending.
All parents, guardians, and caregivers are welcome to attend meetings—whether as voting members or observers—to connect with other families, learn more about how YMCI operates, and engage with the Principal, staff, and student leaders.
In addition to council meetings, there are opportunities to get involved in planning events such as educational workshops, fundraising initiatives, and teacher appreciation activities.
The first meeting is Monday, September 29, 2025 6:30 - 8 pm at YMCI in Titan Hall! Learn more ->>
