Hello! Although my official name may be Yuke, almost everyone know me as Carina. Coming from China as an immigrant when I was 9 years old, I have now lived in the US for about seven years already. In the upcoming school year of 2021, I will be a senior in high school, and I joined the Youth Leadership Institute to further my knowledge on the ongoing societal problems in hope of better preparing myself to be an active voice for our community. Outside of school, I practice Taekwondo at National TKD, and in just a week on June 26th, I will be testing for my Second Degree Black Belt. I am also a violinist and have been playing the instrument for almost six years. I love reading, writing, and even picked up a little crocheting during quarantine. I have a strong passion for all forms of arts for it is really a universal language that unknowingly connects all people.
