Opportunity
We study the electrophysiological mechanisms and therapeutic effects of neuromodulation, including transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), and adaptive neurostimulation. Our research also encompasses clinical studies involving patients with brain disorders, with a primary focus on seizures and epilepsy.
Students interested in neuroscience and neurophysiology are welcome to join us. Backgrounds of biology, biomedical science, engineering, neurology, and neurosurgery are beneficial but not essential. Students with medical training (MD) are encouraged to develop the research topics aligned with their clinical careers.
Members of our lab have opportunities to engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations with experts in Biomedical Engineering, Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Clinical Medicines. We welcome highly motivated undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students to join us. For inquiries or interest in joining the lab, please contact Dr. Wu.
Yi-Jen Wu, MD, PhD.
