Welcome! I am an economist at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I am working for the Integrated Substance Use and Addiction Programs (ISAP). Prior to this, I received my PhD in economics from Auburn University, and Master of Arts in economics from the University of Virginia (as a Ph.D. student, 8/2017-12/2020).
My research interests lie in innovation, economic history, and healthcare. My current projects center on the following three themes:
How do government regulations/interventions influence the development and diffusion of technologies? What are the impacts of publicly funded technology on local productivity growth?
To what extent do labor institutions (e.g., overtime coverage and workweek scheduling) affect workers' outcomes and firms' technological choices?
What are the consequences of regulating administrative hassles in specialized healthcare services?
