Yiwei Qian

I am an Associate Professor at the Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM), Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, where I have been a faculty member since Fall 2022.

My research examines human capital challenges in low-income settings, particularly in rural China, and engages with econometric methods in program evaluation. My general academic interests lie in development economics, labor economics, and the economics of social networks.
