Co-investigator and volunteer for a community colorectal cancer screening project (2022-2023)
I led the volunteers and negotiated with the local authorities to implement our program. We conducted mass cancer screening and awareness campaigns for the low-income community, who usually cannot afford a colonoscopy.
We have effectively executed seven awareness campaigns targeted at the lower-income groups residing in People's Housing Program (PPR) areas, a government initiative designed to relocate squatters and address housing needs for those in the lower-income bracket. Our outreach efforts have specifically focused on communities in the Cheras area, encompassing PPR Sri Kota, Bandar Tun Razak, Taman Ikan Emas, Sri Labuan, Taman Mulia, Sri Sabah (3B), and Sri Johor (A & B).
We offered an early colorectal cancer screening kit (iFOBT) to about 500 participants. The kit-return rate is immensely encouraging at 81.7%.

Engaged in the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics booth, creating and conducting educational activities on the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics topics for secondary school students.
