Sim-FAST Package and Tutorial:
Our group uses lumped parameter models to capture the complex behaviors in active, adaptive, and reconfigurable structures such as origami, kirigami, knitting systems, shape-morphing mechanisms, pneumatic systems, etc. We use a package called Sim-FAST to capture these novel structural systems, and the package can be found on GitHub: https://github.com/zzhuyii/Sim-FAST;
The package contains an open access "Living Textbook" module. Our group member will start their simulation work from reading through this live-script module in MATLAB and through working out the solutions in this "Living Textbook".

This series of videos is created to make my group's internal training more systematic. I believe that this will be a great first step for my own students to get started with coding and simulation of active and adaptive structures. Hopefully, these tutorial videos will eventually evolve into a grad level class on the topics of active structures. Since I have already created these, why not make them open-access ;)
