2021 YHS STARTALK HINDI LANGUAGE AND CULTURE PROGRAM WILL USE SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING PROGRAM USING ZOOM, GOOGLE CLASSROOM; STARTALK RECOMMENDED ONLINE TOOLS, LIKE, BOOKCREATOR; IDEABOARDZ AND MORE. FREQUENT BREAKS WILL BE PROVIDED TO RELIEVE STUDENTS FROM 'ZOOM FATIGUE'.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE?: K-12 (Early Elementary (K-2); Elementary (Gr. 3-5); Middle ( Gr. 6-8); and High (Gr. 9-12) School students.

A VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP SESSION TO BE HELD SATURDAY, JULY 10TH. TWO AAPPL TESTS, BEFORE AND AFTER THE PROGRAM, WILL BE CONDUCTED


WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?: Speaking, Reading and Writing about places, people and culture of India; India's Geography, History, Social Traditions; The hottest Thar desert of Rajasthan/ the coldest Himalayan desert, Ladakh; Virtual Trips to Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ladakh and other places of interest in India; Explore, interpret and analyze culturally authentic Indian products, practices, and perspectives (Interpretive); Discuss, and debate (Interpersonal); Present and Critique Virtual Trips (Presentational): Literacy skills; Games, Songs, Dances, Skits, Maps based activities.

REQUIRED: Parents' consent for using photographs and videos recorded during the program for educational and promotional purposes; permission to participate in all activities.Students must practice writing Hindi Alphabets, key words related with India's geography, cuisine, festivals, flag, river, and monuments; attend all learning sessions.


Hindi Diwas-September 2021, Diwali and Reunion-November 2021; All events will be held online.
