As a virtual sessions, the 2nd edition of the Oriental Days for the Environment "JOE2" event under the theme : Solid Waste: As a vital resource for sustainable development. This scientific event is a part of the project "Developing citizen capacities for a clean and sustainable neighbourhood: through waste sorting at source", funded by the European Union under the MOUCHARAKA MOUWATINA program.
About twenty experts, executives and university professors shared their visions, recommendations and research work on waste recovery in Morocco, and explained how this waste can be used as a real resource of material and energy, promoting a transition to the circular economy.
The scientific program included several plenary lectures, oral communication sessions and poster sessions, related to four themes: Environmental Impact, Management & Treatment, and Valorisation: Materials & Renewable energy and Eco-Citizenship.
