Energy in Motion marked the beginning of Epcot's transformation from a solely passive, edutational theme park to a thrilling yet scientific one. The Imagineers hit a home run with Energy in Motion, proving that Michael Eisner's formula of thrilling character-driven and guest-centric experiences work. With the success of Energy in Motion and its signature attraction, The Examiner, the Imagineers moved forward with another Future World transformation, that of the nearby World of Motion into Test Track, and Horizons to Mission: SPACE which debuted in 1999 and 2003 respectfully, to positively thrilling results. Another theme park formula that guarantees success was created, ensuring the place of thrill attractions within the Disney parks.
