My name is DeJuan. I am currently wrapping up a Master's Degree in Teaching (only practicum remains, a big reason of why I'm making myself available this way) through Western Governors' University's School of Education. At age 38, I have perhaps more experience as a learner than most (this would be my third degree, with a BA in General Science and a BS in Atmospheric Sciences in tow) and, thanks to brains being rather diverse, I am developing how I want to teach to meet the needs of all students, full stop.Â
Teaching (and social services, in general) is part of my family's history (both grandmothers were nurses; mother completed her teaching degree, also) and, more pertinently, is what I am trying to embrace even more as the purpose in life. Moreover, I believe that we all have the capability (and duty, perhaps) to continue learning--and to teach--well after high school graduation. (I have fairly high expectations of humanity and of myself.)
