News
10 April 2025: AMOD-v1.0 🤗 has been released! It is for aerial military object detection (*optical)!
9 April 2025: The experiment Kit for AMOD is now available!
8 April 2025: Our website for AMOD is now open! We highly referred to the DOTA benchmark site.
Motivation
Object detection plays an important role in the development of reconnaissance technologies for national defense. However, collecting large-scale datasets for military object detection remains difficult due to the unconstrained nature of outdoor environments and the limited availability of labeled data.
To address this issue, we introduce ⭐ Arma 3 Military Object Detection (AMOD) ⭐, a series of synthetic datasets for military object detection. AMOD is constructed using Arma 3, a military simulation game that allows the generation of diverse scenes without human intervention. AMOD aims to advance research in military object detection with large-scale and customizable benchmarks.
What is Arma 3?
Arma 3 is a military tactical shooter video game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It’s well-known in the gaming and simulation community for its realism, large-scale combat environments, and modding capabilities. For more details, please refer to this link.
