Term 4 Overview

In Term 4, Year 9 Science focuses on Earth Science, covering topics such as the Earth's structure, including its four layers and their characteristics. Students will learn about convection currents in the mantle, the theory of continental drift, and the evidence supporting it. The unit also explores tectonic plate boundaries, folding and faulting processes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, including their causes and measurement scales. Finally, students will study volcanoes, their formations, and their positive and negative effects on society.
