Dr. Yi-Chaio Lin(林逸喬) is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National United University. He earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of Biotechnology at National Chung Hsing University, specializing in molecular biotechnology and its applications in drug discovery.
With a multidisciplinary background in Computational Chemistry and Cell Biology, Dr. Lin has developed a comprehensive research platform that bridges the gap between in silico prediction and biological validation. His expertise lies in the integration of high-throughput virtual screening—utilizing tools such as iGEMDOCK, AutoDock, LibDock and UCSF Chimera—with in vitro cell-based assays to evaluate the therapeutic potential of natural products.
Throughout his career, including his tenure as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) under the RAISE Program, he has focused on identifying bioactive compounds for metabolic disorders. His current research specifically targets GLP-1R and Beta 3-AR, employing a rigorous methodology that combines computational modeling, HPLC-MS/MS analysis, and cell-level validation to ensure the efficacy and safety of potential lead compounds.
By synergetic linking computational simulations with experimental cell models, Dr. Lin provides a robust framework for accelerating the discovery and development of next-generation natural therapeutics.
