Biography

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Development Economics at Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University. I hold a Master's degree in Development Economics from the same university. I am a Research Fellow at the Institut Convergences Migrations and the Association Française d’Economie du Développement  (AFEDEV)

My thesis investigates the impact of migration on both origin and destination countries, with a focus on the labor market, gender norms transmission, and cultural heterogeneity. I also study the impact of internet use on political perceptions in Africa. 

I am an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Economics Department, Cairo University (currently on leave).

Research interests: Development Economics, International Migration, Labor Economics, and Gender Economics.
