I joined the University of Michigan as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Robotics in Fall 2023. Prior to joining U-M, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I received my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2021, and my B.S. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015. I am the director of the Agile Robot Control and Design (ARCAD) Lab, which conducts research on the development of control algorithms and custom hardware for legged robots, with applications to high-performance autonomous robots.
