[05/2017~08/2017] Software Engineering and Data Analytic Intern, Philips Lighting Research at North America
[01/2021~06/2021] Postdoctoral Researcher, Lab of Info and Software Fusion
Participated in Intent-Defined Adaptive Software (IDAS) Program: a joint project with Sierra Nevada Corporation sponsored by DARPA. The objective is to develop technologies that capture the intentions of software engineers to support the continual adaptation of software-enabled systems.
Responsibilities:
Transformed UML/SysML model to OWL
Proposed examples for inferring satisfaction of requirements in UML/SysML
[09/2013~08/2020] Research Assistant, Lab of Info and Software Fusion
Worked on CONverged Collaborative Elements for Radio Frequency Task Operation (CONCERTO) Program: a joint project with BAE Systems sponsored by DARPA that focuses on supporting communication applications with a flexible Radio Frequency architecture that uses shared hardware.
Responsibilities:
Developed a set of rules for generating ontological descriptions of communication application designs.
Designed and implemented a mode model generator in Java, which embeds an inference engine that processes the rules to dynamically construct ontological descriptions of requested communication application designs for heterogeneous platforms, including FPGA, CPU, or hybrid.
Participated in Dev2WALDO: A Language for Describing Radio Frequency Device Capabilities and Status Program: a joint project with VIStology Inc sponsored by DARPA that aims at demonstrating the feasibility and advantages of using semantic technologies over XML-based approach to representing and requesting radio capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Developed an ontology in the Radio Frequency domain with good coverage of OWL axioms.
Designed and implemented two generators in Java for generating a large variety of random RDF device descriptions and random SPARQL queries against device capabilities, respectively.
Proposed a method for evaluating the use of OWL-based and XML-based approaches to representing and querying cognitive radio capabilities with quantitative metrics.
Analyzed the evaluation results and provided recommendations for the selection of the best approach depending on the scenario.
