Exploring Design-Driven Innovation through Human-Centered Design & More-than-Human Design Perspectives
Rooted in the design culture of Politecnico di Milano (Polimi), I have received extensive training in design theory and methodology, design representations, fabrication techniques, and design management. At Xi'an Jiaotong University, I learned engineering which enable me to apply emerging design technologies into my projects.
I always believe that design cannot be separated from research, as they are usually intertwined in theory, methodology, and process. Therefore, many of my design works (e.g., course projects) have also been transferred into research projects (e.g., publications, patents).
My design vision can be summarized in the following figure: I try to foster the symbiosis among human, nature, culture, and city through emerging techniques (e.g., XR, Generative AI, Materials & Digital Fabrication, Robotics) built upon theoretical foundations in HCI and design fields. Within this scope, my works have been recognized by Red Dot Design Award, James Dyson Award, and Muse Design Awards, and exhibited at Hong Kong Art Center, Xi'an Design Week, and World Internet Conference. This page only demonstrates my representative design projects.
