Standard 8 – Provision and preparation of food and drinks
8.1 All boarders, including those with special dietary, medical or religious needs, are provided with meals which are adequate in nutrition, quantity, quality, choice, and variety.
8.2 Suitable accommodation is provided for the hygienic preparation, serving and consumption of boarders’ main meals. This may be situated in the main school provided it is adjacent to or reasonably accessible from the boarding accommodation
8.3 In addition to main meals, boarders have access to drinking water and to food or the means of hygienically preparing food at reasonable times. Schools are sensitive to boarder’s individual needs in this respect.
(School subcontracts catering services at a highly reputable company, Epicure, who have a full item dietician. A Catering committee, with representatives from students, faculty and staff meets regularly. Also, student must inform BAs to recognize their food limits concerned about illness e.g., food allergic. And religion food needs or specific dietary they are having e.g., vegetarian etc.)
Standard 9 – Boarders’ possessions
9.1 Adequate laundry provision is made for boarders’ clothing and bedding. Boarders’ clothing is satisfactorily stored and issued to the right boarder following laundering.

BAs may support student to ensure they’ve got their clothes back correctly. If any problem must contact laundry service shop and follow up the issue till end. Or maybe cost of loss clothes will charge later depend on case by case. The rule of clothes back-forth would depend on the laundry service shop. BAs must explain all procedure to student understand clearly.
9.2 Boarders are able to obtain necessary personal and stationery items while accommodated at school.
(Students receive a small pack every semester and may purchase items form the Student run shop)
9.3 Reasonable protection is provided for boarders’ personal possessions and for any boarders’ money or valuables looked after by the school.
(Students are provided a lockable drawer in their wardrobes and a full-size locker at School. When school register and give a key to student and need to return end of year. If it was lost cost will charge to student.)

Standard 10 – Activities and free time
10.1 Boarders have access to a range and choice of safe recreational areas, both indoors and outdoors, and there are safe areas at school where boarders can be alone if they wish. e.g.,
Use balcony 4th, 5th floor to chit-chat / practicing / meeting
Spend their free time to private practice room on 5th floor, boarders will exchange student ID with practice room key at practice room office.

10.2 Schools where there are unusual or especially onerous demands on boarders ensure that these are appropriate to the boarders concerned and do not unacceptably affect boarders’ welfare. Which is after 1 pm when residence open student has their own room to practice.
10.3 Boarders have access to information about events in the world outside the school, and access to local facilities which are appropriate to their age.
Every Friday night (on school day) and Saturday at noon, Prince Mahidol Hall had the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) performance as a season. YAMP student can join the event for free to experience the professional of national musician.
MOCA BANGKOK, in collaboration with YAMP has entered into an agreement to organize music events for high school students. They performed at MOCA Café.
10.4 Health, Fitness and Sports of YAMP student since nowadays, children with overweight problems have an impact on the daily life, such as health, physical, unhealthy, it is not possible to do heavy activities with normal children (exercise), lose personality. So, the school should be encouraging the event to be held. To better improve the physical fitness of students. It is also possible to develop a better musical personality. Therefore, Schools also had “health and sport committee” (responsible by Aj. Arm) for student to spend their free time apart from practicing. We provide badminton court / futsal / swimming / bicycle and running in campus.

Running exercise can be daily in the evening 5P
10.5 Weekend activities, residence team will organize about Weekend Activities and Holiday Activities for students who stay at dormitory such as Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Mother’s Day, Movie night, Sport event. And we also have Trip out every Sunday for student who want to go to the shopping mall (supervise by BAs) but student will take care the cost by themselves. As following.

10.6 Volunteering Activity and Charity, to build an orphanage home project/or Volunteer on campus. An essential part of Volunteer education is learning to give to others. All students must attend volunteer activity and meditation class at least 34 hours per semester and record their participation in log book. BAs sometimes led a trip out to donate some of stuff, having fun activities and fundraising to Children foundation on some weekend. But not allowed trip out during COVID 19 pandemic. then may have another social network or online way to fundraising.

Standard 11 – Promoting positive behavior and relationships
11.1 The school has and consistently implements a written policy to promote good behavior amongst pupils. This policy includes:
• measures to combat bullying, including cyberbullying, and to promote positive behavior;
• school rules;
• disciplinary sanctions;
• when restraint12, including reasonable force13, is to be used and how this will be recorded and managed; and
• arrangements for searching pupils and their possessions
11.2 The policy complies with relevant legislation and is understood by staff and pupils.

11.3 The school also have “Safeguarding team” Our safeguarding commitment is to ensure that students, teachers and staff are protected from both deliberate and accidental harm and abuse.

Standard 12 – Staffing and supervision
12.1 Any staff member or volunteer employed or volunteering in a position working with boarders has a job description reflecting their duties, receives induction training in boarding when newly appointed, and receives regular reviews of their boarding practice, with opportunities for training and continual professional development in boarding.
12.2 Any role of spouses, partners and/or other adult members of staff households within boarding houses is made clear.
12.3 The staff supervising boarders outside teaching time are sufficient in number, training and experience for the age, number and needs of boarders, and the locations and activities involved.
12.4 Boarders are at all times under the responsibility of an identified member of staff who is suitably qualified and experienced.
12.5 Staff know the whereabouts of boarders (or know how to find their whereabouts) in their charge at all times.
12.6 Staff working within the school know and implement the school’s policy in relation to boarders going missing and their role in implementing that policy. Staff actively search for boarders who are missing.
12.7 There is at least one adult member of staff sleeping in each boarding house at night, responsible for the boarders in the house.
12.8 Boarders have a satisfactory means of contacting a member of staff in each house at night.
12.9 Any boarder access to staff accommodation is properly supervised and does not involve inappropriate favoritism or inappropriate one-to-one contacts between staff and boarders.
Standard 13 - If missing students
It is important that you read the College’s full policy and procedures on Missing Students. Since many of our students are from an international background it is imperative that we provide a caring and safe environment. As part of providing this environment it is very important that we can account for all our students whilst
they are in our care and as such we have a duty of care to our students. There are three thresholds which allow for different procedures to be adopted in the case of missing students and students who are absent without leave.
If any student misses their curfew time, the Principal, or in his unavailability Deputy Principal or member of YAMP leadership is informed.
When students on YAMP boarding our staff effort is made to ensure the safety of the students whilst they are in our care. This policy sets out our procedures for maintaining safety and dealing with the unlikely event of a student going missing.
Students are not allowed to leave the school during the school day unless they have a permission form the Principal, Head of years and Boarding Assistant. Standard 14 - Incident & Damage Report
14.1 Incident reports are prepared to document incidents of harm, either to persons or property, that occur on school property or in the course of school activities. This also include damages that occurred in residence/boarding area. These reports are also key pieces of information which assist claim representatives. All incident reports, witness statements, and any associated documentation and evidence should be marked “Confidential”
14.2 When completing the school incident report, details identifying the person who was injured or property which was damaged or lost, should be provided together with the date and location of the incident, a description of the injuries sustained and a brief factual account of how the incident occurred.
Principals must ensure that parents and caregivers are notified of any incident involving a student. The notification should be made as soon as possible after the incident occurs. Notification to parents or caregivers, either by telephone or in writing, should include
the following:
• Confirmation that the student was involved in an incident together with a description of the nature of the incident.
• A description of any injury or loss of property sustained by the student.
• A description of any action taken following the incident
(e.g. first aid, calling a doctor or ambulance, calling the police).

Standard 15 – Reports to
You will be directly responsible to the Principal (Currently Head of Boarding) and will be line managed by Duty Head on a daily basis. You will work within the framework set by and under the general direction of the Principal.
