The Yerevan Academy for Linguistics and Philosophy (YALP) is an annual intensive summer program in linguistics and philosophy. YALP started out in 2017 and brings each year over 50 undergraduate and graduate students together. It hosts students from Armenia and other countries in the region (broadly construed).
The purpose of the academy is to provide an opportunity for students to develop their knowledge and skills, possibly with a view toward applying to doctoral programs in philosophy or linguistics (including programs in the USA and Europe).
Participation in the Yerevan Academy for Linguistics and Philosophy is free of charge.
YALP 2026 will take place from June 29 to July 10, 2026.
YALP is generously hosted by the American University of Armenia (AUA) and supported by AUA Center for Ethics in Public Affairs and USC’s Institute of Armenian Studies.
