There's not really much point in doing this, since the engine can read both types of normal maps... But, whatever, I guess.
To convert Old Engine normal maps to Dragon Engine, just swizzle (move) the alpha channel to the red channel. For the inverse, move the red channel to the alpha channel. When converting a yellow/purple normal map to green, you have to add "DxT5xGxR" to the DDS file via a hex editor. You have to add it at offset 0x54.
There isn't really a way to convert metallic and specular, since the two types of maps are very different. I think it's better if you made your own specular/metallic maps somehow.
It is however possible to accurately convert the specular power multiplier map for Dragon Engine though. Coming soon! :D
Just copy the _sp to the red channel, the color channels of the _ao to the green channel, and the alpha channel of the _ao in the blue channel. Sometimes the _sp has color but you can just turn it grayscale.
