Team sports such as football and cheerleading require team participation. Therefore, it is very important that your child(ren) attend all practices, scrimmages, competitions, games. Teams perform at their best when team members can rely on one another. Of course, illness and certain major obligations may result in absenteeism. However, casual absenteeism makes it difficult for individuals to learn their specific responsibilities and for the team to form as one unit. Teamwork is a major component of football and cheerleading. If your child is not going to make it to a scheduled practice or game, it is imperative that you contact the Team Parent(s) or Head Coach to report the absenteeism. Players may not be able to play in all or part of the games, if they have excessive or unexcused absences.
