Bio: Dr. Yadong Xu is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Medical Engineering at California Institute of Technology. He received B.S. degree in Materials Chemistry from Sichuan University, M.Res. degree in Drug Sciences from University College London, and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Missouri Columbia in 2023. His research interests lie in designing multifunctional soft materials, advancing multimodal biomedical devices, and developing scalable, cost-effective manufacturing methods for next-generation bio-integrated electronics. His work aims to address critical challenges in personalized and precision healthcare. .
He is an Editorial Board Member of Discover Electronics (Springer Nature). He received Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad (2022), Outstanding Chemical Engineering PhD Student Award (2022), Raymond White Dissertation Year Fellowship (2022-2023), and has published more than 20 research articles, including first-authored research works in Nature Nanotechnology, Science Advances, Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, and a book chapter published by Elsevier, with over 1,700 citations and h-index of 15. His research works were highlighted by Nature, Nature Nanotechnology, Matter, and have been extensively disseminated across a number of media outlets.
