The Young Achievers Program
The Lincoln Trail Young Achievers program is sponsored locally by the Lincoln Trail Youth Leadership Council, Inc.; a non-profit corporation. The council has supported the Youth Salute for High School Juniors for the last 40 years. Young Achievers recognizes young students for their excellence in activities and academics.
The Young Achievers program is associated with the International Leadership Network (ILN).
Students are nominated to be in the Young Achievers program during their 4th and 7th grade term (in participating schools). This allows the display to be completed and displayed during their 5th and 8th grade year to coincide with their completion of elementary school and middle school.
Students may be nominated for any number of reasons including but not limited to: Excellence in- Academics, Sports, Music, Band, Choir, Art, 4H projects, Scouts, Extracurricular Activities, Church Activities, Community Involvement, Agriculture, Speech, Archery, Shooting Sports, Livestock, Horticulture, etc. The main objective of the Young Achievers program is to give recognition to High Achievers who serve as positive role models to other students and their community.
Students will be photographed by McCoy’s Studio at no charge. A photographic display will be created and displayed publically as well as at the Student’s School. No purchase is required for your Student to be included in the Young Achievers program. Purchase of the photographic display is offered for sale as a fundraiser to offset the cost of the Young Achievers program. Special packages will be available to students and parents who wish to purchase portraits.
