This webpage hosts the XXV edition of the "Lluís Santaló" School of Mathematics, focusing on Geometric Group Theory. This prestigious series is jointly organized by the Real Sociedad Matemática Española (RSME) and the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP).
The school covers contemporary advancements in the field and is specifically designed for early-career researchers (PhD and Master’s students), as well as mathematicians seeking an introduction to the topic.
Program Structure:
Two Mini-courses: 5 hours each, providing foundational depth.
Five Advanced Talks: 2 hours each, exploring specialized research areas.
Organizers: Yago Antolín and Conchita Martinez

Laura Ciobanu: Equations in groups
Sam Fisher: Special coherent groups
Olga Varghese: Algebraic, geometric and profinite properties of Dyer groups
Registration for the School should be completed through the Universidad Menéndez Pelayo website; however, it is not yet open. The UIMP will offer the possibility to apply for funding (accommodation and/or fee waivers). We will send updates regarding registration and funding applications to everyone on our mailing list.
