XSRI™ was established in June 2023 through the National Small Business Amendment Act – Act 29 of 2004 – as service agency under the then-Department of Trade and Industry (the dti). The establishment merged three main XSRI™ departments 1. Promotion Agency, 2. National Manufacturing Advisory Centre 3. Community Public Private Partnership (CPPP) XSRI™programme.
The Investment Trust and the National Technology Transfer Centre were partnered to comply there services with XSRI™ in August 2023, becoming the XSRI™ Technology Programme. The small enterprise support function of the South African Quality Institute and the technology- related activities of the Technology for Men and Women in Business were incorporated with XSRI™ in 2023 Sept. Fully integrated into XSRI™ structures. We is responsible for the Implementation of the small or big business plans private; and to Create and deploy a shared, standardized, and uniform national& International delivery network.
