■ Forest ecology and management

SELECTED RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

College of Global Change and Earth System Science, Beijing Normal University

■ Using camera images to estimate gross primary productivity (GPP) in forests May 2018- Dec 2018

● Advisors: Dr. Xianglan Li

● Used the camera-estimated greenness index to estimate GPP.

● Found that camera-based estimations slightly outperformed the MODIS algorithm-estimated GPP.

■ Measuring the exchanges of greenhouse gases (GHG) in a rehabilitated mangrove Sep 2016- Dec 2018

● Advisors: Dr. Xianglan Li

● Measured the exchanges of GHG and energy in a rehabilitated mangrove of Zhejiang.

● Used Eddy covariance and collected the soil samples.

■ Chlorophyll fluorescence and its relation to the canopy photosynthesis Sep 2016- Dec 2017

● Advisors: Dr. Xianglan Li

● Discussed the differences between different remotely sensed sun-induced fluorescence (SIF) sets and canopy photosynthesis.

● Assessed the prospects of applications of OCO-2 SIF to track seasonality of GPP at 215 flux sites.

● Published two first-authored articles relating to this topic.
