Act of Age

The memory of showcasing paintings to parents as a child is a pivot-able part of childhood; influencing the present and future growing as an artist.  showing my art allowed me to grow deeper and deeper in love with art.

A relationship between mother and daughter can be everything to one and nothing to the other. growing up the sides have changed drastically looking unknowing of the anger within one and the hurt in another. Within her arms once a safe heaven, now a dissipating hole; 'Yaya + Mom' is a gift to my mom to apologize for the times I have hurt her, and to forgive the ache place upon by her; an attempt to heal the hole between.
