Personality: Absolutely unhinged, Ezrith has been known to wander through the Cultist Quarters muttering about herbs. Entirely blind, she relies solely on her other senses, largely deferring to smell. Ever the keen nose, Ezrith can sniff out an infection a mile away, and knows every herb, flower, bush and stone in the territory by scent. She constantly refuses help, getting around well enough on her own. Quite the eccentric wolf, she might seem completely crazy, but when the time calls, Ezrith is the no-nonsense she-wolf to back up the All Mother’s plans and cut off naysayers. 

History: Blind since birth, Ezrith wasn’t expected to make it, but by some miracle or another, she did. Learning the world based on four senses alone, her sense of smell has always been intense, telling of rain storms to come, or a particular hearty herd passing through. Wizened by time and trial, Ezrith has been around and seen it all: Assemblies, famine, drought, potential coups and more. But the world hadn’t hardened her, only brought her closer to Xiaya. She might not speak on her faith as much as some in the cult, but her belief is there, if only less open than some Xiayanites. 

How to Depict/Reference: Typically strewn with leaves and herbs of all kinds, largely Xiayanites leave Ezrith alone, knowing there isn’t any getting through to her, or cleaning her pelt (not entirely at least). Generally upbeat, Ezrith doesn’t shy away from striking up a conversation, especially with the newcomers she’s awfully curious about. With their new scents and intriguing stories, Ezrith might simply take a seat and join in on your wolf's conversation.

Kayne of the Grim Bloodline

Gender: AMAB, he/him

Age: 7 years old

Order: Sicarius

Rank: Viceroy / High Priest

Personality: Stubborn, cold and indifferent, Kayne does not get along well with any that do not share the word of Xiaya. Utterly devout, and zealous by nature, Kayne believes in Xiaya above all, glorifying him in every light, whenever he can. He looks down upon those who aren’t born of Xiaya, loathing outsiders, though he dare not outwardly defy the All Mother. Cunning and quick, Kayne shouldn’t be underestimated despite his age and stature. 

History: As one of the Old Guard, Kayne takes his bloodline very seriously. Born into a family whose blood could be traced back to the early days of Xiaya, his family often thought themselves above others, and so they passed this tradition unto their son. Kayne grew less outright mean with age, instead growing in mind. His cunning came about by meticulously working his way up from Pupil to Viceroy. He wanted to rise as high as he could, control as much as he could, just the way his parents taught him. But Xiaya’s Cult wasn’t created in order for those within it to gain power. A lesson he quickly learned in the scarring of his eye.

How to Depict/Reference: Kayne remains distant from those not within the Sicarius fold, and outright hostile to outsiders. Though he will show most Xiayanites a semblance of respect, he particularly frowns upon those of the New Order.

Xantha

Nickname: Xan

Gender: AFAB, she/her

Age: 5 years old

Order: Reaper

Rank: Viceroy

Personality: Seen as the silent type, Xan doesn’t often stand out. While preferring her quiet ways, she doesn’t dislike wolves or noise. She’s rather fond of rabble, and once she warms up to you, she’ll likely talk your ear off about her latest fishing technique. The first purveyor of fishing in Xiaya, Xan prefers to spend her afternoons in a river than on the open plains. She is most at peace when in the shallows of the Southern River, but often grows lonely and returns to lead hunting parties simply for companionship. She’s a bit headstrong and opinionated but is generally open minded as long as she doesn’t sense judgment. If she does think you’re judging her, or her people in a poor light, she will not take it kindly.

History: Originally a Paladin, Xantha grew up strong and foolhardy, only for her own actions to end the life of someone dear to her. The shock quieted her for a long time. For over a year her family, her entire pack, thought her mute. But when she did speak again it was to condemn the actions of traitors. From there, she spoke regularly again, her hindrance behind her for the most part. Still, Xantha wasn’t quite the same rowdy wolf she once was. She was more careful—thoughtful. That thought led her to unique hunting grounds and fed her people for the last couple years. Even if they were fish, they would sate the Xiayanites and keep them from starvation. Between her skill for fishing—honed in the quiet hours of solitude after her loss—and her adept skill at leading a hunting party, Xan rose to be the next head of the Reapers.

How to Depict/Reference: A proud wolf, Xan stands tall, with a cool look of indifference on her face most of the time. Though she’s curious of outsiders, she isn’t likely to approach one, instead giving them the breadth they’re due. Though she isn’t certain of the All Mother’s latest decision, she isn’t overtly against it, more so cautious of the troubles it could bring.
